I would venture to say that if it is stronger than the stock plastic, people will buy. There are plenty of turbo (and twin turbo) guys out there that want a metal, carbon, or stronger than ABS plastic intake plenum/manifold for boost.

I'm trying to hold out for CJM, but I would entertain others if the quality of spot on.

Dont port the oem ones if youre doing a custom mani. Get two maxima TB's with the same plug as ours and port those. They start at like 70mm while ours are only 58mm. Porting will only get you 63mm while porting a maxima will get you closer to 80mm. At that point ditch the injen with the 2.75" pipe and 2.5" MAF housing and go full 3"!

Oh forsure! Were looking at sizes on the manifold then talking with the tuner to see what size he would like. The tb's would match up to the manifold size and then build custom intakes off that. The goal is to gain 30+ wheel with supporting mods like long tube headers. Ill probably stick to 7600 rpm limit and get it tuned spot on for that. Im making a build thread as soon as I get home today!

yea it was too cold and not worth it for me to wash the car and go up there. it's only a 15-20 min drive for me but still I was at the house with many Guinness pints from dinner in me and a case of miller lite waiting in the fridge lol

PM me later. there's a drag strip track rental next sunday at PRP I can get you in on if you're interested. think i'm gonna go.

SO when you get the manifold, TBs and intakes done, they will start producing and selling them? I wonder what kind of gains the larger TBs and new manifold could pick up NA for a car that already has the LTHs.

Good question. If porting gets 10hp id love to see a bigger mani and bigger ported maxima TB's. Im not sold on bigger CAI's though. My 2.75" did crap so i doubt a port matched 3" CAI would do anything. The guy on facebook selling custom 3" CAI's competely disagrees but of course he would as he's trying to make money. I still want the one piece JCR carbon fiber GTR mani from the UK!! Gains or not i want it! Maybe one day...
