Default OBX Test pipe reviewed!

So a while back I was contemplating picking up a set of test pipes. There were just too many options to choose from z1, berk, meghan, etc. I had the luxury of having off work and was able to make a cars and coffee event here in central il, and thank goodness I did. First off I got to meet and talk with a couple other z owners, and secondly got some great advice when it comes to test pipes. One of the guys had a 15 Nismo that sounded amazing, and told me don't let the brand fool you with tests. He had $100 ebay pipes on with a nice cat back and it sounded better than some I've seen with full systems! I figured why not give it a shot and see what I could come up with (worst case out $160). I took a chance on the OBX and glad I did!

I've had them on for about 3-4 weeks now, and here are my thoughts.

Price 10/10- nice set of pipes for $160 come on

Quality 8.5/10- beautiful solid pipes, good quality welds and solid flanges. One of the bolts misthreaded while installing so I gotta ding it a point, but I think it may have been my fault.

Fit 8/10- they actually went on really easy, and once tightened down fit great. The -2 is because the new gaskets are a little big and clunky which means a bit more work to make a nice tight seal.

Sound 9/10- sounds amazing! I'm not ecstatic with the cold start up, but 1 minute and it's a nice clean rumble. Great in the mid range! Can be a little loud when you get on it, but not obnoxious, and no drone at cruising speed. I get compliments on a regular!

Power 8/10- This is my perceived gains. In my opinion it feels more responsive and runs great. This is before I get my tune done.

Overall I give a solid 8.5/10. Can be a little loud at times, and the cold start it loud, but well worth it for the final product. Best of all no Cel with the included o2 extentions. I'd 100% recommend these at the moment! OBX is pretty solid!

Nice. Do you have an aftermarket cat-back system as well, or just the test pipes? Any pictures?

I have a muffler delete, but nothing else as far as the exhaust goes. No pics to post, right now, but I'll have it up in a couple days and I can take some then.

I have a muffler delete as well. I'm debating whether to get Test Pipes or not. Does it sound better?
