Hi everyone I'm sorry if I'm posting it in the wrong thread but I just bought a 2014 370 Z touring with over 5000 miles on it from the dealer a few states away from me and when I got to the dealership I could tell the exhaust note is not stock I drove it 150 miles and the check engine light went on I looked underneath the car and it turns out there is no muffler is this the reason my check engine light is on? Thank you

From a no muffler? No. Something else. Please understand asking why I have a check engine is like asking us what color your wifes underwear is. We have no idea and you can find out easy. Find the code then ask.

DTC says post-cat fuel trim system on bank 1 is reading rich. O2 sensor probably needs to be replaced but someone may have a better fix. Should be OK to drive but I'd baby it until I got the problem fixed.

O2 sensors are sensitive to shock. Check your exhaust to make sure it is not bouncing around and make sure your mechanic doesn't bang the sensor around when installing it.

What if I just buy the Motordyne e370 full catback exhaust that I thpught about buying, wouldnt that solve the issue

That wouldn't solve the problem, just give you a different exhaust note.

Your O2 sensor is on the cat itself. Changing the cat-back exhaust is on the other side of it. You will be right next to the O2 sensor and you can change it out at that time. Your best bet is just to change it out though. I know they are a bit expensive, but it's better than having engine problems by not replacing it.
