Its a great way to keep em clean all the time. Its crazy how well these filters flow, ive been thinking of dyno time but already put an exhaust so gains wont reflect only

Nice! I did not realize that R2C made drop ins

I've been running their intakes for three years now. I got a set of the black hex filters that I purchased when they released them a while back (maybe ~1 year?).

FWIW, I've never felt like blowing air in/on them cleaned them out very well. So I always wash them in a bucket of water with some Simple Green. Since I now have two sets, I can let them air dry for several days before storing them.

I personally removed the R2C logo in the top left corner. R2C told me it would be fine just be careful of the urethane and media. they also said that they tested it with and without it and were getting 400 scfm. my alien brain wanted to remove it though and not have it in there. it is a thin piece of metal with a dab of glue behind it. you can take a small razor under the urethane if you want and i used a steak knife gently prying in the center and got it off in under 5 minutes each.
Can't understand why a company would put a logo right there blocking the air flow. It defeats part of the purpose of the better flowing filter!! It is not like anyone is ever going to see the logo anyway. SMH.

Glad to see you came-up with a way to remove it and get the entire benefit of the filter.

Yea that plaque just doesnt belong there. I spoke with r2c yesterday and they did confirm that flow is completely unaffected. Good thing is its very small and easy to take off

Exactly what i do! Except i used dawn liquid soap last time. The filters dry so fast too. R2c ftw

Yeah, been contemplating those... having difficulty justifying another $100 for what most say is a negligible difference at best. I guess I'll see how she feels with the drop-ins and go from there!

there are dynos that show about a solid 5-6rwhp gain. I posted some and jordo did as well as a few others. For me the biggest benefit of the maf tube was the throttle response...the Z was a little boggy at certain speeds, not any more. Seems to just want to keep going.

Done. Just placed my order for a pair of Red HPS tubes!

They'll really compliment the Black Hex's I just installed tonight!

Thx for pushing me to look into it more GZ3!

Only driven her 3 times since putting the filters in but I can definitely notice a difference... a bit more throttle response and it seems to rev smoother

Tubes should be here Thursday!

Installed mine today and the butt dyno shows increase. Filters looked ready for replacement anyways. As for sound, no difference as my catback muffles any sound there is.

I've been trying to buy these and can't find them in stock anywhere. I placed an order over 6 weeks ago and still waiting.
