Cold Air Intakes living in Florida?
1 Attachment(s)
While deciding on whether to get Stillen Gen 3 CAI or the Gen 2, I decided on the later. It rains DAILY here in FL. Check out this pic from a downpour yesterday. Just a little puddle lol
If you were living in this rainy climate, would you still go CAI long tube? |
I would stick with the Gen3's
The amount of water to reach the Gen3's is about mid door on the side and well IF water reached that high? You've got bigger problems. Gen2's imo are not all that great and so your better off slapping some K&N filters and staying stock. In to your question? Yes I would just stay away from injen style cai for obvious reasons. Either way its your choice. |
If you are worried about it, stay stock. You should stay clear of water like that above in any car.

I ran Stillen gen 3s in Fort Myers with no problems at all before the car was supercharged. They are up in the bumper, they are not going to see much water.
|
I live in st pete and been running g3's for the last two years
|
I would do Gen 3s but good grief that is some serious raining goin on there.
|
OP which part of FL you at? Thats a lot of water for a rain.
Hey ELMO I would love to see your Z once I get to visit St. Pete. |

Checking in from Tampa here and I've been fine with the 3rd gen. If the road's questionable at all just take a different route. Better safe than sorry.
