Anyone have the Greddy Ti-C yet?
I am torn between getting this or FI, but I would really like to see some comments or sound clips of the Greddy. Does anyone have it yet and can give a review?

This is a pretty nice exhaust you're looking at right now. We've installed quite a few of these exhaust systems on 370Z's here at our shop and it has shown great gains on both N/A and F/I 370Z's, so if you buy it now as an N/A mod, you'll still be able to use it down the road if you should ever decide to go F/I.
This thing sounds AMAZING! I'm still looking for any clips we may have of the sound, but below are a couple pictures of it installed. Please feel free to PM me for special pricing. |

I would love to hear some clips and do you have any dyno results? I have almost convinced myself to go with the FI exhaust, as I recently called GReddy and they didn't give me much confidence with this exhaust on a NA application (no desire/plans to go turbo). Pm pricing anyway, thanks.

We do have a dyno from another 370Z owner that came here to have that exhaust put on, but you should know that he also had other supporting mods (i.e. intake/header/high flow cat). Also, it is on the computer attached to the dyno, and I'm unable to get to it right at this exact minute. As soon as I'm free, I'll grab that dyno for you and get it over to you.
And, what is your zip code? just so i can get a little more accurate quote for shipping on the exhaust. Also, just to give you another option, AAM makes a full 2.5" exhaust for the 370Z. I'm still working on getting the Dyno for you. I'll get that up as soon as the other computer's free for me to get the dyno off of it.
The mods the person had were a Stillen Intake, Berk High Flow Cats, and GReddy Ti-C Exhaust. Now, to achieve optimal gains from all of these modifications, you really need a Cobb ECU Reflash, which this customer unfortunately did not do. Since he didn't reflash his ecu, he only gained about 5-7whp. But, I should point out that a bone stock 370Z gained 14whp from this ECU Reflash. So, with those supporting mods, you'll see AMAZING results! |

5-7 with all of those mods? Doesn't sound right. Were you saying 5-7 whp with only the exhaust added - and if so do you have the charts so I can see what the band looks like - also do you have any before/afters for the other bolt-ons for this car?

We only have the dyno from after the mods were installed. Unfortunately, those numbers were for all of those mods. The reality of the situation is that the map on the stock ECU is set to maximize performance and gas millage given the amount of air coming in and exhaust going out of the engine when in its stock form.
Now, when you add those modifications, which push more air/exhaust in and out of the engine, but the ECU is still set for the more restrictive intake and exhaust, you're not going to be able to achieve the full potential of the mods. More and more often with newer cars and technologies, everything is starting to be run through the ECU, which has its pro's and con's. Pro's being that you can achieve great gains from simple bolts-on's. The Con's being that you need to modify the ECU to really get the full potential of power from those modifications. Now, reflashing the stock ECU is a simple job. Doing that along with the other bolt-on's won't be a huge hassle whatsoever. But it is necessary if you want to see the full potential of those modifications. |

What I don't understand about those gains, is I have seen many CAIs and Exhausts, with before and after dyno runs showing 10+ individually (some in the 18s), without any ECU flash, so honestly I don't understand how you can be only getting 5-7hp with CAI, exhaust, and HFCs. Something doesn't sound right.

I was the customer who had the Ti-C install.
The day the car was dyno'd was a rainy/humid day at around 90 degrees. Was expecting for something over 300hp at least. Wasn't sure what happened.. We didn't do a stock dyno and only did one pull. Going back to AAM soon for the cobb tuning and to see some real gains. Hoping for something a little better this time.

Obviously, this is an issue unrelated to this specific discussion and can be saved for another thread...unless of course, you are among those who believe that 2.75" exhaust is responsible for power-loss.
Regardless, the setup on that black Z looks badass. I'm much more a fan of a proper canister-style exhaust aesthetically versus the other offerings. It will certainly be nice to see the results once more of these units get shipped out. |
