Just ordered takeda cold air intake
Replacing my k&n short ram with these cai.
Picked these over g3 because of price and not having to cut. Is 10whp gain reasonable after the switch. Plan on a retune as well to find out new gains |
Same reasons I chose the Takeda
I wasnt a big fan of the dry filter and the design but after really reading diys and review, it doesnt seem to be a bad choice, i look at it as cant go wrong either way, preference.
I just got one a few days ago and I love it. What really sold me was the single filter that connects to both tubes. I love the design
i just looked up this intake, i like the design. Would of been a cool second option had i known about it over the gen 3.
Its supposively a 2-3 whp difference. For $100 less i can deal with that.
You'll love it. And like mentioned before, the best part is no cutting
I ended up cutting mine too much restriction on the silicon.
I also ended up going with Takada dual filters. I didn't like the single filter after a couple hundred miles. Also talked with a tuner and he stated the same thing I was thinking you actually get better gaines with dual filters. I original bought it for the same reasons listed. However after testing both non cut single filter vs cut dual filter I'm happier and so is my baby. Not that it was bad originally just a little better now. |
