I bought the car because it's what I wanted. However I want to tweak it just a little to be mine. I actually like the stock Nismo exhaust.

I'm just trying to get a 2.5 all the way through before I go have mine tuned. GL original poster here's what I've found so far

Garageline = TurboXS 500 a little louder than stock a lot of good reviews (out of stock) if you find this anywhere in stock let me know please :(
CNT 500 people give it decent reviews.
Top speed 500-700ish

Just a few I saw while looking for what I want. I'm looking for exactly what garage line and turbo XS make a 2.5 inch system I can bolt up to my berks back to my Nismo Muffler. Hope this helps some. Get what you like, not what others want for you!

I can vouch for top speed, its been 17 months, still in perfect condition.

Was 90% set on ordering an FI system, but thought I'd check a local performance shop for options. The owner of the shop I visited told me, he'd install any cat back system I could order for $125.

He also had a couple of full system, can't remember the names for about $1,250 installed. Then asked me if there were any other mods I was planning or entering a car show, I replied no.

He then proceeded to tell me that the biggest clog in the exhaust system in the Z after the cats is the stock muffler. Then offered me to remove the stock exhaust, install 2 glass packs, straight inline with the existing pipes to the tips. I also wanted to keep the stock tips which he did. The price he quoted me was $400 total.

I figured, it was worth the risk. If I didn't like it I wasted $400 but I could still order the FI. I have got to say, almost 3 years after installing, I am so happy that I made that decision. Saved me $1,500, sounds great, no drone, butt dyno immediately told me increased performance, almost 2 miles more per gallon and it looks great.

As some has mentioned, it maybe worth checking out some custom options that are much less expensive.

Sounds very interesting. How much louder is your exhaust than stock? What parts of the stock exhaust system were left in place? Cats, Y pipe, mid pipe?

So basically like the "short tails" option but with resonators?

Probably sounds pretty good -- nice!

jrb55, It's just like Jordo mentioned, like short tails but toned down a bit. The sound is unmistakably VQ37 but maybe 50% louder at idle and quite a bit louder when opened up. The tone is just a little lower and I really like the sound.

Cats, y & mid pipe all stock in there. They cut the pipes approximately 2 feet prior to the glass packs, welded slightly larger pipes that enter the glass packs.

I hate to be this guy but you could have done the same thing but half the cost going with the topspeed axle back(can be found on ebay for around 260, 230 if you get the G37 version which is the same thing) for a little more then half the cost, the only issue you would run into is the tips sticking far out if you have a regular 370z, since they were designed for the nismo bumper they stick out farther

No worries luigi, if your suggestion can help another forum member, it's all good.
