A local has a set of short tails and test pipes on his Z. LOUD!

HFC would cut down on the noise and drone. But it's still gonna be loud with the short tails.

TPs or HFCs will give you more sound and more power.

most companies products shouldn't throw a CEL. Fast Intentions will not throw a code and on the rare chance they do throw a code they will work with you to get it sorted out.

i'm currently running straight pipes and the only drawback is maybe a little TQ loss on the low end but on the top end it feels like a touch of extra HP

HFC do make good power, never had any CEL issues. The only thing I didn't like was the hissing on the downrev..

Is is safe to say that most of the HFC's won't cause any CEL issues?
