Removed Resonators on Stock Exhaust

Just got back from the shop. Cost me $90 for both. took about 30 minutes. I'm sooooo happy I did this. I wasn't wanting to do many performace mods. I love the care the way it is stock. At most I considered lowering it. I don't care about power adds or anything. Just wanted a clean simple car but it needed some more roar. It was always too quiet. Now it's perfect. The roar is there when I punch it but under normal driving there is no difference at all which I love. I did not want a noisy cabin or something that would let people 5 blocks down know when I was driving by.

For anyone who doesn't want to spend the money on a new exhaust but still wants a more aggressive sound from this car, I highly recommend doing this.

Nice deal - you should post up vids to give an idea on how it sounds. I don't think I've heard a setup like this before.

I will. at work right now with no one help me. The sound changes as the pipes get hot. It starts out raspy and gets smoother as you drive.

Reving. Windows closed. Windows open.

Perfect for me since I didn't want it super loud outside and only a little more roar when I punch it while driving. Not to mention I didn't have to shell out hundreds of dollars for this.

Some parking lot fly bys. Sorry for the wind noise. It's always like that here. And I didn't have anyone to help me record. I keep leaving work to make these videos lol

Thanks for the sound clips. The exhaust tone is much higher/louder and raspier.

It is your car so your opinion is the only one that matters.... ;)

And don't forget to set your parking brake next time. :roflpuke2:
Imagine if you were on a downhill instead of a flat surface. :shakes head:
Another thing, don't let your boss find out about the videos. He'll be like "What, you are making videos of your car while at work".
That was the funny stuff, now in a serious note,
I like the sound and that is exactly what I'm looking for, just a little more of a roar but nothing obnoxious loud like the AAM short tails or other exhausts I have heard before.

kalkat102 05-02-2015 02:04 AM

Haha yea I didn't set the brake cuz it was all flat I usually do tho. But u should try this out. It's reversible worst case. I love it. Been driving around all day for any stupid reason lol
