I didn't want loud but I wanted that deep rumble that stays with you all the way thru the acceleration, but is quiet when driving. And I got it with the MagnaFlow cat back system. The diameter of the pipes is a lot larger than stock. A lot less restrictive. Don't know about gains. I don't put much faith in Mfgs claims, and neither did the performance shop that did the install.
