Test pipe leak question?!
I know this subject has been discussed before. And Z1Motorsports have $40 set of exhaust flange gaskets that are a multi layer design. My problem is that I have to get this fixed tomorrow. I don't have time to wait for them to be shipped to me. My local performance exhaust shop is the only people I trust with any of my cars. I bolted this exhaust setup (Greddy Evo 3 + AAM test pipes ) up myself. But they've looked at it previously and so when I told them about my issue today they said I could use 2 composite gaskets instead of just 1 at the upper part of my test pipes where it's leaking.
They said it should fill the gap enough to where it won't leak anymore. Does anyone think this would work as well as the multi layer gasket by z1? Since it is a multiple layer gasket setup? I ended up just buying the Z1 flange gaskets, I had a few little simple issues with install, but once installed, gaskets NEVER leaked great quality product Thanks @Z1MOTORSPORTS Last edited by AstatenateZ; 05-13-2015 at 02:55 PM. Reason: Bought Z1 Motorsports ; Didn't wanna put a bandaid on this issue! |
