HFC, Catless ypipe, Tomei single back sound
Is anyone running HFC, catless down pipe and an r33 tomei single back exhaust.
Im concerned it will be WAYYYYYYYYYYYY to raspy and i HATE rasp! If anyone is should or link me to a video please |
It is very raspy, I don't have the direct link but a member had the test pipes and tomei single exit on her nismo. It is loud and raspy, although I thought it sounded great.

I am running tests, tomie y, tomie y back. I would say it is raspy for sure, but in a race car way. Cold starts sound like nascar came to my neighborhood. Everyone, even people that I have never met that find out which car is mine, say they have heard my car around town, sometimes miles before they see me and all always say they love the sound.

When I installed it, it was overwhelmingly loud compared to muffler deletes. Maxed out a dB meter at 130dbs on the dyno at ~4k rpms. The tuner made one pulled, got out the car, then walked over and put ear muffs on. I even warned him before, that it was loud. After the tune he made numerous comments about how incredibly loud it was.

I run the same setup as Japanjay except I have resonated test pipes. It is still loud as hell. But like he said, it is loud in a good race car way.

rasp sounds like a Honda civic, get a damn resonator, rasp from the vq is the same damn thing as rasp from a vtec, I switched over from TPs to HFC, major improvement
|
The 350 HR I heard last weekend had PPE long tubes, HFC on the Y pipe and tomei CBE. It was ear shattering loud when he was on throttle. Your neighbors will HATE you! Even with the silencer on it, way too loud.

If you don't want rasp, don't get a Tomei.
