That's a pretty good deal from the nismo shop, has anyone here dealt with them before?
I am going to check my local Nissan dealer first though because $400 USD (+$70 ship)=$621 Canadian From Z1 the list is $698 USD which is almost $1000 CAD!!! WITHOUT SHIPPING! Yikes |

If your looking for Carn legal you may want to consider the stillen gen 3 cold air intake system.
|
im also a little late here but....
was there ever an update done on this kit? Does it seem to be a high quality intake? Does this company have a good reputation? I have a 14 nismo and was looking for a CAI and was just wondering if this one is still missing parts or involves some do it yourself work or what the case may be? Also does the nismo require different intake kits then the standard 370? Any websites you could point me to that carry this intake? thanks everyone |
Z1 Motorsports has the intake.
|
Also is this intake specific to the nismo or would it fit any 370z? Just wasn't sure if I needed to be looking for a nismo specific intake because maybe the engine was slightly different?

I posted this over in the tuning section but someone suggested I post it in the intake/exhaust section. Instead of starting a new thread, thought I'd just add to this one.
Looking to see if any Nismo owners have run on the dyno with just the Nismo intake and no other mods. My AFR's went super rich after 6K rpm. I'm seeing low 10's, even a few 9's using an OBD logger and mid 10's on a Dynojet with a tailpipe sniffer. Car is an G37 IPL. The tuner thinks the tube design may be messing with the MAF but it has the plastic venturi inserts which is supposed to "normalize" the flow for the MAF sensors compared to the stock airbox configuration. My butt dyno said the throttle response improved and I have more low and midrange. Up top it seemed a wash but summer also kicked in with 100 degree day temps. Wheel spin is more of an issue than before. I made the mistake of not running the car on the dyno in stock form due to time constraints. Just looking to see if a Nismo intake did this on anyone else's car or if something is amiss on mine. Here's the run. http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps8vepyybl.png |
Who sell this intake?
|
No one sells it any longer. I believe it's been discontinued although replacement parts can be had through AEM.
Edit: If you can find one, you'll need a tune to get the best out of it. I had Seb at Specialty Z do the tune. Quite a large, and positive difference when all was said and done. |

If you know of anyone selling a mint condition one I'm interested in buying one. It suck that how all the good parts are discontinue so quickly, I just purchased my 2018 Nismo. |
Search on Ebay. Sometimes they turn up as NOS (new old stock) that dealers have lying around.
