Need to program your z when you installed a stillen intake?

Alright guys , I just bought a stillen G3 intake and I went to Nissan dealership asked they to install it for me , and they said they are going to program it after installed , total cost $350 ? It is real like that expensive to install ? It is really necessary to program it if you install a intake ?

Hi John, please raise up your left palm, and place it directly across your forehead...

You do not need to tune for a Stillen intake. They are robbing you, something you agreed to when you asked the dealer to install your intake.

Is there a specific reason you cannot install it yourself? It is a very easy install and quick, no need to program anything

Yes. Take a quick read through his post history. Some people should farm things out.

DIY how to install G3 intake:

Step1: Open hood.
Step2: Install intake.
Step3: Done!

Have somebody you know help you out. Just go through the step by step diy on here. Shouldn't take you more than 2 hrs with a buddy. Make sure there's lots of beer on tap too!

John, it's easier then it sounds and looks. I did mine with the help of my 40 year old neighbor. Did I mention I'm 54? I took pictures that I can email you if you're interested and I believe it took us 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Install and tune for $350 from a dealer? I promise you all they are going to do is install the intake, remove the ground lead to the battery then connect it back. Intense programming indeed.
