ARK DTS or GRIP ?
Ok as the title suggests, I am settling with ARK but not sure whats the difference
I really wanted Fast Intentions but firstly i am not a patient person, Secondly i hear its too loud and i dont want that kind of attention in dubai because po-po's are mean. Anyway, DTS or GRIP ? differences and opinion. I would be placing the order ASAP because this stock exhaust makes me cry

As far as I know the ARK is a little bit louder than the FI. Go for the Ark grip with burnt tips.
Looks better to me than DTS. Grip has 2.5" piping and DTS has 3". Some reviews claim the grip is louder and DtS provide more hp by 1 than the grip 12 vs 13hp. Last edited by Zoren 370; 02-03-2015 at 09:05 AM. |

Really? Everyone says ark is a more silent exhaust .. the grip definitely looks better than the dts..but is there any difference among them ? I cant seem to find differences in them at all..
Are they turbo compatible. Forgive my illiteracy i am only slowly learning everything I understand the difference now So its safe to assume dts is better for turbo application ? But i have read that 3" affects N/A vehicles..would it apply here ?

Not sure how the 3" affects a N/A maybe back pressure? But yes DTS is good for FI aplications.
The Ark is quiet at idle but loud at woot but its deep solid sound. Best paired with a HFC. But that would make it louder. |

My ARK Grip is about the same volume as the FI non-resonated exhaust, but has a slightly deeper sound. The DTS is slightly quieter, the FI with resonators is quiet until you really get on it then it comes alive, but without test pipes it never becomes loud.
I have the Ark GRIP and hae installed many different exhausts for local Z club members. Nothing holds a candle to the fit and quality of Fast Intentions, FWIW |

Recently installed a DT-S on my ride and love it. I wanted teh FI but did not want to wait. I purchased myself very recently....I had intially wanted the Grip since I really like how that style/design looks but they were out of that.
So I decided on the DT-S but they were out of that to. The DT-S I got was the only one as of 2 weeks ago they had in stock..1st Z owner to install the Matte finish.

Thanks. I like it so far. Ark says its slightly louder then a Grip...I can not attest to that as I never have had a Grip model.
I also think that after you get it we all tend to be baised..most of us do not go and buy multiple exhausts so after shelling out over a grand for one we tend to like it no matter what.

Love that matte finish,
Talking to ARK currently, Will want to grab the DTS myself because the GRIP will well "GRIP" all the cops attention to my car even if its parked.

A Grip or a DT-S you will like either. Ark is not known for crappy stuff. As for sound...well the OEM 370z exhaust note sucks..horribly. You will notice the DT-S when you fire her up, when your pushing off. Then when your ride gets to cruising speed its more of a louder OEM sound..sounds good. When you punch it though depending what gear I am pretty sure everyone around you will notice it. It gets loud...but that is the intention. Be it a FI, Ark, Stillen whatever...its how the 370z considering what people want to compare it to should sound. Changed the dynamic feel of my ride..it feels authoritative now.
