^^^ Power always starts to drop off after 7500 RPM

It sounds like both you and your friend have the same mods (intake, CBE, and TP's) then you have pulleys and the PP'd TB's and IM.

My guess is that the FI catback just makes a bit more power so you guys come out about even. Either that or some transient factor was influencing things (oil temps, air temps). I wouldn't sweat a difference of a few whp.

If you can get the drf's for each and email them to me I can make a detailed comparison chart.

EDIT: Oh, wait -- your power drops off at 7K?

That is a bit early -- not sure what's going on there. What's your rev limit set at? The ECU will pull timing and fuel as a sort of soft rev cut before 7.5K, so without bumping up the limiter (say to 7.8K), you may show a power loss after 7K. That might be it.

Ok so my bad man I wasn't even lookin at the 7k plus , I saw it drop like a rock and honestly thought he got off it just after 7k sorry if I'am wrong and the pull was all the way to 7800 and hitting the limiter.

I think he probably hasn't raised the limiter so its pulling power well before 7.5K.

Otherwise I have no idea. I guess it could just be the dyno guy is letting off throttle early.

No the limiter is raised to 7800 and he definitely hit the limiter when he was tuning it. Jordo I will ask r/t to email me the drf files, thank you.

However even though my hp is lower than expected, my car is putting down a decent amount of torque. Im still going to do the compression test just to be safe. I did go to the track today but it didnt go well so the times aren't even worth mentioning. Im still dialing in the grab point with my csc elimination kit and it was the first time at the track with it. I have clutch engagement issues, I cant power shift into 2nd or 3rd, but it does fine when I ease into the gears. All the times I power shifted it locked me out of 3rd and I grinded 2nd one time. Im thinking I may have to remove my rjm clutch pedal, it may be too much adjustment now with the adjustable external slave cylinder. Im going to try swapping my factory pedal and see if that changes anything.

these are the mods
Stillen Gen 3 Intakes
Bored Throttle Bodies by Maxbore
Ported Upper & Lower Intake Manifold by Synergy
ARK Grip V2 Catback Exhaust W/ Burnt Tips
CNT Racing Resonated Test Pipes
NST Underdrive Pulleys

that dyno graph shows my current numbers compared to last years dyno graph(thats what the lower lines are, not today's baseline) Last year the mods were
Stillen Gen 3 Intakes
ARK Grip V2 Catback Exhaust W/ Burnt Tips
CNT Racing Resonated Test Pipes
and with that I put down 309whp and 259 ftlbs.

Im curious as to why my power drops too scott. It was like that last tune too so its not something to do with the new mods. Im starting to lean towards the test pipes.
What gear? I'm gonna guess 5th. If you were SAE you'd be about 309hp which is about where I am with those mods, but lower. The mismatched parts like me may not be getting along. I still can't figure why I'm 10ish hp from everyone else I've sold to and been there during the dyno. Seems we're in the same boat but you should be higher With the lighter pulley and possibly lighter flywheel.

In the winter I was 313/260 SAE 4th.
My cbe
My 2.75" cai
Ported TB, upper and lower
Obx lth
18x10.5 +15 rpf1 with 285 rs3's

I sold all my ported stuff to Kasey because I couldn't find a lower for him and then I got a return and redid it all just for me. I went back for a retune 5/12 just to make sure it was safe but lost 5hp and 3tq. Now I did have 4 slight changes...
20mm rear spacer
All new ported TB, upper and lower.

Now we can chalk the loss up to weather or something but in SAE 5th I'm only doing 313/266. If I was STD like everyone else I'd be 320/273 but that's way down from Z1 cars I've seen. My parts hate me or Z1's dyno or tuners doing some kinda cool aid!

I asked about gear because you can see (red) 5th dies down but (blue) 4th is still climbing. If you were done in 5th maybe we're running out of steam. My 2.75" intake might be a little better than your 2.5" intake which is why I don't fall as much. Maybe we need some velocity stacks right out of the hood

I forgot to mention my rear wheels are 19x11 +15 forgestars with 305s, so there may be a difference there too. I think it was 5th gear that the pulls were done in. Maybe its time to go itbs

It has to do with not getting enough air. What about adding a Jun Cam? Only person I"ve seen to make power after 7,000 rpms was `1slow370z but yes he did have alot of custom work done so that can be argued.

Yeah but I've yet to see back to back comparisons. Alone both test pipes and LTH make great power but removing the factory cats will do that! I'd chip in for a back to back. I got yelled at this before in a vender thread. I was only asking what's LTH money really get you!?! Test pipes can be had for $100 and this vender had LTH's for like $1300 plus. If they do make better power (not sure back to back), what's the $1200 really getting you? I only did LTH's cause they were $350.

You're wheels and tires look heavy though so i'd say that plays a roll too.
