Z1 test pipes vs others

Hello folks!
i bought a pair of z1 test pipes and they look great! I have absolutely no problems with how they look. However I have not installed these test pipes because I am scared of how they may sound. I love a great sounding car, but I'm afraid that with these test pipes on its going to be too loud for my everyday driving. My friend has a g35 with test pipes, beluga catback and intake on it and it might as well not have a exhuast system on it that's how loud it is(very very loud) . I do not want my car to be loud! I have Stillen catback and header, along with the stillen G3 and z1 intake mani. And stock cats As of right now the car sounds perfect. I was looking at fast intentions resonated in hopes it wouldn't be as loud.
Anyways what I'm hoping to get out of this is someone who has similar mods as me, but with test pipes also. How loud is it scale of 1-10?
Yes I've looked up YouTube videos but that will never be a good comparison to the sound in person. And by loudness I mean cabin noise.

Install them. You'll be fine.

If I install them I can't return them is what z1 told me.

Well, if you are going for sound, and the car sounds perfect to you already, don't change it. Loudness is relative, so from what it sounds like, you really don't want anything earth shattering.

In my honest opinion, Test pipes with your setup won't be too loud.

Do you have test pipes? What set up are you running ?

Why did you buy test pipes if you don't want loud? That's all they're good for lol

Well I pretty much have all the bolt ons finished besides the cats. I think the power gains are similar with HFC as test pipes, so I may just go with the HFC in hopes it won't be as loud. Like I said I love how it sounds now, so I guess I'm going to try to keep it that way.

Not entirely accurate since it frees up exhaust flow.

So my setup is not anywhere close to what you have on your car. I suggest going to youtube and listening to videos with and without testpipes to get a gauge on the volume increase.

HFCs will increase volume, but not as much.

I have Z1 HFC's and really love the sound , TP's will be a lot louder,

Test pipes are louder than cats and loudness ,as stated before, is relative. In my experience with test pipes the sound is just one concern. It seems a tune is necessary address the O2 sensors. Even with J-bungs my car did not run well before the tune and occasionally I still get a CEL from the cats not being there and the O2 sensors not registering enough of a change in the exhaust gases and upsets the ECU. I believe this would be an issue with any mod that removes cats. I think ,IMHO, high flow cats are a good compromise or even resonated test pipes if you are concerned about volume but be aware of the possibility that the O2 sensors may not be happy.
