CSC?... help please

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone here in the 808 had their CSC...maybe Master Cylinder?.. fail on them.

From what I've read on the CSC failure threads... my car is showing the same symptoms. My clutch pedal is pressed to the floor, and the reservoir was empty.

I'm not sure if it's the CSC or the Master Cylinder... or both =/

Has anyone dealt with their CSC/Master Cylinder failing?
If it did fail, was it covered under warranty?

Do I have warranty? XD I'm the 3rd owner, 2010/25k miles (I would call Nissan...but it's Saturday 6pm) I was told that powertrain warranty goes with the car, not the owner? O_o?

Yes, car, not owner. It's still covered under your power train warranty!
Go to the dealer and see if they'll install an aluminum after market one.
If yes, call Joe@ZSpeed and have him ship one to your dealer ASAP

Powertrain is... 5/60 on these cars, no?

Actually this falls under power train which is 5 year 60000. Now this would fall in the 3 by 36 rules it technically falls into the aforementioned. Reason I know is I just had it done three days ago with my 2011 at 36128 miles. And on the slip for repair "Repairs covered under limited power train warranty". If it wasnt it didn't matter as I paid for mrpp premium additional warranty when I bought it which covers it all till 100k. Good luck.

Thanks for the help guys! I will definitely keep this thread posted.

I hope the dealerships here are easy to work with. I've read some frustrating stories of mainland dealerships...geez!... I just hope our dealerships exhibit aloha. XD

Question to the guys on Oahu. I'm pretty sure I'm going to call New City Nissan for the work to be done... Tony Nissan and King Windward is kind of far. Do any of you have any experience with New City as far as warranty work goes?

New City did warranty work for me with zero problems. I'd use them again over the others. Good luck.

Please keep us posted and let us know your experience with them. I live closer to new city nissan as well but if they aren't that good then I would probably try king windward since its next to my workplace lol

Lose! So New City Nissan called me today and said that the master cylinder, and csc are busted...and NOT covered under the powertrain warranty. =(

I don't get it!... how did some people get theirs covered under warranty? ><!

It's an expensive fix too!... I guess it's time to bring home lunch to work.

I don't know if you read through this thread but it gives some good info

CSC failure covered under warranty

I guess if this happens to me, I'm going to king windward lol but if you do get them to fix it under warranty then I'm going there

Here is a post from that thread that might help your case

Update for those interested or experiancing this same issue:

I called Nissan consumer affairs (the number listed in the warranty booklet) and had them pull up the book and read the powertrain section on the phone with me. We had same book which was a pleasant surprise ! Was expecting an different version with exclusions in it but i digress... The powertrain section says "all internal parts except those listed in the not covered section" under transmission coverage. He read the not covered section aloud and it says NOTHING about excluding the slave and that it's covered. He gave me a case number and contact info. I then called the dealer and the gods were kind to me. The Bob-inator was on vacation and i was transferred to a woman who knew her stuff. To make a long story short, she thinks its in the nissan computer wrong because the slave in our cars is not dedicated, its integrated with the throwout bearing and therefor part of the powertrain and should be covered. So as of right now i am scheduled to have the work done under the powertrain warranty on thursday.

^yeah I read that too. I didn't have New City fix anything just yet... when the service advisor called and told me that it wasn't covered under warranty, I said I needed to think, and that I would call him back. I haven't called him back yet XD

Instead, I called Nissan Consumer Affairs (NCA) just like the guy above. I just got off the phone with NCA, and they gave me a case number. They said a case specialist will give me a call by the end of the next business day (Monday).

Hopefully I will get it covered, and I won't have to shell out my liver/kidney/any organ to pay for the repair. =P

Navyboy916 12-13-2013 11:42 PM

I am not impressed with New city. I had to shell out the cash cause my stillen trans cooler was leaking and they said they didn't warranty but sitting in the case at the parts department is stillen products but yet they sell them but don't warranty. HMMMMMM kinda fishy
