Depending on what you are looking for, you might want to just order them straight from Tony. Even though you might get a cheaper cost on the product, the shipping to Hawaii will negate that "good deal". It might be the same cost to order them new from FI direct. Maybe you can negotiate on the shipping carrier to help offset the costs.

I posted on the hawaii page hoping to find one locally to avoid the high shipping. All the searching i've done for hawaii has led me to posts that have already sold theirs. Any suggestions to keep the shipping costs down? I would prefer a new one honestly.

Understood. Not many people in Hawaii have the Fast Intentions exhaust that I have seen though. And those that do have it would probably not sell it unless they were selling their car...by then that exhaust has seen some miles.
You could ask Tony if they can ship via USPS or check to see if they have better UPS verus FedEx rates. I also dont know if the shipping costs would be any cheaper by sending it in smaller pieces versus one huge heavy shipment as well. Sorry, but good luck as well. |

Yeah, I only know one person with the FI exhaust and that is my roommate. I don't think he's selling his anytime soon. There is, however, a Nismo exhaust for 500...

From what I heard on a G37....the F.I. version sounded pretty good. You are going to get a bit of hissing though from any aftermarket exhaust...as long as you know. I would get the resonated versions, the constant drone and loudness gets old fast. Unless you are trying to "ignore" others in your car...then it works all good. ...kidding.

XLR8SN, Thanks. Definitely getting resonators. Don't want it loud, just want something that sounds like my current 04 G35 exhaust. It's stock, but I enjoy the sound. Any ideas on brand or where to look here in the 808?

There really is nothing that you can get that will make it sound similar to the old G35. I had a 03 G35 and that engine sound was unique and the 3.7 liter versions dont replicate the sound and it actually creates more hissing with aftermarket exhausts. I only talk about the drone and loudness getting old fast because I went from stock, to a Fujitsubo, to a custom single with a HKS carbon "muffler". It wasnt really a muffler other than a resonator with baffles on the inside. Had to run the exhaust with the "cap" installed most of the time due to noise and interior drone.
Chances are you will have to bring it in from the mainland...almost positive on that one. The ones that seem to be having a good review and response is the Fast Intentions version. I had a Fujitsubo on my G35 and I really liked that sound too. You could opt for the Amuse version too though. One thing that I did notice was American exhausts seem to focus more on the lower tones while JDM versions tend to make it more European sounding....leaning towards the higher pitched......Ferrari like...sorta sound, if that makes any sense. But that is just in my opinion. Last edited by XLR8SN; 07-25-2012 at 04:59 PM. |

I think the guy that I sold my car to is selling the 09 370 and parting it out too..I installed the Fast Intentions Carbon cannister catback amoung a lot of other things...
Give him a call and ask but dont mention you heard it from me or these forums. I sold the car cheap to him and he is selling the car for way more that he bought it for, but its his car.. Link here: 2009 370z Good Luck. Kevin |
