That is what I thought. I guess I'm gonna keep my BOSE setup for the foreseeable future.

It is possible to add onto the Bose head unit. There's a device made by Audiocontrol that taps into the factory speaker wires and allows you to install amps and speakers and subwoofer. But once you replace the factory head unit everything has to come out
