Hopefully this will answer your question
In a rear wheel drive car you can use full throttle around a corner with greater confidence that the rear end isn't going to suddenly break away. In wet and slippery conditions the car accelerates as fast as grip allows without skidding all over the road. I am not sure if they still do, but Aston Martain and Lotus were both using this system as thier factory to system. Both companies for the most part are N/A applications. |
It's also used on the Gumpert Apollo iirc

I have one extra kit on the way if anyone is interested

Hi, I would like to buy ECU patch harness for VQ37VHR in order to connect RLTC to my M37S. I found the one on 370Z/G37 (VQ37VHR) ECU Wiring Harness but it is not available for now. I could not find any on ebay too.
Do you know where could I buy it? Thanks |

I'm late for the group buy or do you have some extra kit left? Wanted to buy GTMs PNP but then after couple mails to them without response I recall that its GTM and I would wait forever for it and probably never get it :(
Could you also please explain the no lift shift option? I wonder what is the difference because everybody could switch gears without lifting up the foot from the throtle... |

No-lift shifting is keeping the gas down through the shift. The injector cut allows the synchros in your transmission to mesh easily, reducing the chance of missing a gear and damaging your transmission. I think there is at least one guy who blew a tranny flat footing, I personally think a system like this will greatly reduce this chance. Its my hope that after the few that ordered write reviews that this will generate more interest. If there is enough interest, I will talk to AK. |
Is Traction Control Only + Digital Adjuster an option ? I didn't see it on the price matrix ...
|
No, once you go with the digital adjuster you automatically get launch control. If you wanted just the tc, you would need the analog adjuster.
Edit* I see you are an auto so I can understand why you would want this. I would recommend the can bus unit with the digital adjuster. The amount of money you would save on buying the wheel speed sensors for the standard kit would more then justify the digital adjuster for you :tiphat: if I run another gb in the future I will add the pricing to the matrix. I believe it was very similar in pricing to the standard unit but would have to double check |

Once I get my twin turbos installed and tuned, I'll be back for some Launch Control..!

Never again, Fedex in the future. What a gong show

Have you bought a ECU patch harness or will you cut factory wires in order to connect RLTC? Is there any way to buy the ECU patch harness?
|
Using the patch harness. Just call them, you can still get them
|
I have gotten a few PM's over the last couple of weeks asking if I would consider running another GB. If there is enough interest I will get in touch with AK to run another.

Hey..
I'm interested in the RaceLogic Launch Control/Traction Control Kit with the fully digital black controller.. I would prefer the plug and play CANBUS system if it will work on an Australian delivered 2013 370Z manual.. As much as if like the 'No lift shift', I've decided to go plug and play.. If you could please PM a price and availability, that would be very much appreciated.. Thank you.. James |
Two interested people. Need 3 more to start another gb
|
Racelogic has a price increase coming into effect on August 1st, 2014. This is going to change pricing, and will take some time so I will be closing down this thread. Once everything has been worked out, I will start another interest thread.
The next group buy will be a lot more simplified. Firstly, the units will come PnP. Some basic wiring skills will still be required for running power and ground. The MT version will still require a bit of soldiering as well. The two options would look like this: 1) RLTC for MT boosted 370 - Racelogic Analog unit with launch control, no lift shift, and black digital adjuster, patch harness, WSS chipset, wired for PnP 2) RLTC for AT or N/A 370 - Racelogic CANBUS unit with launch control, and black digital adjuster, patch harness, wired for PnP The general consensus i was getting from PM's is I needed to find a way to make these PnP. So we will give it a shot on the next one! |
