This is a replacement spring for the oem clutch helper spring assembly thats mounted to the clutch pedal. The oem spring removes all of the pressure plate feel and makes the pedal very linear which can make finding the engagement point difficult and just overall does not feel how a sports car clutch should.
For more information please see this thread. This new spring is 75% softer than oem, this allows you to feel the pressure plate/engagement but still maintains lateral support and theres no "dead pedal" at the top like if you remove the spring entirely. It's a very close match to the oem specs in terms of dimensions, it's a little longer but does not interfere with installation for use. The group buy is over, but I ordered a limited amount of extra springs for those who missed it, just shoot me a PM for details. Last edited by esfourteen; 06-10-2011 at 01:31 PM. |
