►►► GiroDisc 2 Piece Floating Rotors | Group Buy | THMotorsports | Free Shipping |
Lets make this legit with a real group buy thread. Guys, We are all for bringing our new products for the Z34. While I know a few other companies may manufacture a 2 piece floating rotor, they are quite expensive. We have been working with GiroDisc for several years now, and figured it might be time for them to make some 2 piece rotors for the Z34 w/ sport brakes. GiroDisc is synonymous with quality. Generally, their 2 piece rotors have about 10 less pounds of mass, and consequently remain cooler on the track (which we all know the Z brakes need) Anyways, to do a run for the sport brakes I would need 5 committed individuals. Once I have 5 people paid for, GiroDisc will manufacture the product and ship it out. Whats in it for you? Retail prices on these rotors would be in the area of $750 for the fronts and $800 for the rears. These first 5 individuals would get a SIGNIFICANT discount. As well, I think reviews of these brakes would be excellent for the community. PRICE!!! Fronts: $585 (Non-GB price $750) Rears: $610 (Non-GB price $800) LIST: 1. sig11 - Front & Rear 2. NewYorkJon34 - Front only 3. 4. 5. Now on to the pretty stuff. http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...pc-r-rotor.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...nt-02Small.jpg These rotors are spectacular and have been out lasting our last BBK setup. Here are some pics I just snapped form our STi Track car: http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...9-17225130.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...9-17225139.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...9-17225152.jpg They are strong, light, and float with plenty of room for expansion and contraction from continuous heat and cool down sessions. (plus they look BAD ***!!!) They will be made to OEM dimensions. if anyone is interested please let me know. I really want to gauge some interest with the crowd here and hopefully bring more true performance oriented products to the forum. http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...f/DSC03771.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...f/DSC03780.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...f/DSC03766.jpg Feel free to discuss this here. nice price - but need to know three things before committing;
how long will it take how much is shipping (91780) are there optional colors for hats? (black preferred) *also, just curious why the rears cost more than front - this isnt a factor for purchase decision, I'm just wondering Thanks |

Shipping costs are certainly a factor too. I'd also like to know more about what the weight reduction is going to be. I have no idea what the stock rotors actually weigh. Seems to me you really won't know what the actual reduction is going to be until you have a set of the new rotors to compare with the stock ones. |
Im going to find out today if we will be able to get different colored hats. I know its possible, just want to double check.

is this still on?...
Trying. Im in no rush, if no one else is.
I don't know if I'd say I'm in a "rush"... but I've had these brakes for a year or more and have been monitoring two piece options... dba has theirs out and I'm considering them... would like to consider the girodisc as an option - but need to know how long the wait is.
I plan to make a decision soon |
Once I get 5 people committed, they will go into production. From there it will be a 5-6 week wait.
Do you know how much these will weigh? And how much is shipping to 90805?
Since they are not produced, I cannot say exactly how much they are going to weigh. Probably in the neighborhood of 5-10lbs lighter per corner.
is there going to be a steel liner in the rear rotors for parking brake? it is tough to make a decision without know the weight of the these. yes the price if good but would reeally need to see final specs.
Are these still available to order?
Unfortunately this really hasnt gone anywhere due to low interest.
:( |
