Berk Installed Today

We installed the cat-back today and immediately engaged in some "spirited" driving. Inside the car, there is a definite tone difference, but not annoying a bit. Throttle response is significantly improved.

Outside the car at start up, the exhaust provides a nice, deep tone. Outside during acceleration and deceleration is a huge difference from stock. We heard no rasp, no popping, nothing high pitched. The car presents you with an aggressive, clean sound. I will see if it sets off car alarms in parking garages like the exhaust on my 71 240.

I waited 8 weeks and had researched almost every one of the available systems before going with Berk. In my opinion, I made the absolutely correct move.

Oh yeah -- installation (in my garage) took me and one of my sons 2 hours 15 minutes. It would have been much less but we wrestled with a reluctant nut of a bit.

Thanks, man. I like it too. I like the more ore less stock appearance.

so, my cbe is installed, and i gotta say, soooo worth the wait. sounds great, looks fantastic.

alright, so after 4 hours of driving around in the car after the install. i know have more time to write a better review. So, thanks to VinnyTen Racing to the install, quick and perfect alignment. The startup sound was, phenomenal. Even some of the guys in the shop, and for those of you that know have heard a lot, came to the bay door to listen to me start it up and drive away. That alone says something about the sound of this exhaust. I had made the decision to wait for the Berk cbe after listening to g35guys FI setup, and 370zsteve's Berk setup. The FI setup is great sounding, and looks great as well, but I was looking more for the stock look.

What I was surprised about though is, Steve did not have the HFC on his car, the sound difference with it on my car. It sounds AMAZING. The sound is deep, grumbling, and slightly exotic all at the same time. I'm thoroughly pleased with the setup. I'll try to get pics up tomorrow and possibly a video.

UPDATE: Berk HFC's are on the way to me as we speak! Now you've got me all fired up! Congrats, Justin, you waited a long time for your CBE, I'm glad it was worth it!

if anyone wants to back out of their GB#2, for the CBE pm me and i will take the spot, if of course that's alright with the sponsors, thanks!

Everyone from this group buy has their exhaust already.
Not sure if Berk has any more in stock. I think they had a few after the GB was taken care of.

dang it! my quest continues into the long silent night, where only the sound of a stock exhaust with a future Berk high flow cat exists within the close horizon...

That's strange...if you called 12:00 Hawaii time it should've been 2:00 in California. They should've been open...I've experienced calling them with no answer, but after two or three follow up calls (back to back)...someone usually answers...Try sending a PM to rob@berktech and see if you get a response from him....Last I knew he was monitoring the forums for Berk.
