I just found this thread - I happen to be a single malt Scotch (whiskey) person. Bourbon is OK but give me a real Scotch, laddie. And lots of them.

I do not appreciate blends - try as I might, nothing cuts it like single malt. If I can't afford it, I don't drink. <-----Scotch snob.

But only when I am home and not driving - just saying.

You want one? They come in 1 liter, 2 liter, and 3 liter sizes. All are charcoaled inside. You can get them laser engraved with anything you want. You have to e-mail or call them. Branson - Stone Hill Winery

It takes about 3~4 days to get it ready to use.

Thats boss! Gotta show my wife, I'd love to have one. Do you get it empty and then fill it with whatever you want or did it come with the wine inside?

Yea, it comes empty. To use it. You have to fill it with water and let it soak for a couple of days. Best to do this in a sink. This lets the wood swell and seal it. Then you have to wash it out with baking soda. Then rinse until the water comes out clean. Once clean. You can put in wine or whiskey to age. 3 yrs is the max you can keep it in there.

About to pour a afternoon glass of Balvenie 12y Doublewood... I had a long day. I'm curious of the Caribbean Cask. Have any of you gentlemen tried it or recommend it?

yup. had all the Balvenies. The CC, to me, isn't anything special. I think the 17 Yr. Madeira Cask is outstanding. Just have to try it.
