Age Gap

Whats the limit? Friend of mine seems to really hit it off w this girl he met. She seems pretty cool. He's my age 38 but looks younger like 25 or something cuz thats what people guess all the time. I have the same prob i look younger. Not really a prob. Shes 22. Looks bout that age, mid 20's. I tell him so what. As long as you guys are happy so what. Our other friend disagrees and says thats too much of a gap. But we think hes being biased cuz he was the first to jump in and was talking to her and her friends. So what is too much?

It's the age of the person's maturity that matters, not really the physical so much. One of my racing buddies is 68 and his girlfriend is 33, more power to him I say.

I agree. Depends on maturity.

A friend of mine was dating a 25 year old when she was in her 30s. They broke up because he wasn't mature enough.

Now she's in her 40s, they started dating again by chance, and are now engaged...

younger age = older age / 2 + 7

Nismoracer 06-08-2011 03:52 PM

What is that suppose to mean? Both of the above dont even fall into that formula and they seem happy. 38/2 : 19+7 = 26 shes 22 4 yr diff. Now would her parents age figured in mean something they r about 10yrs older than him...

Personally, my window is usually 2 years over, 10 years younger. It depends on the person, but people usually want different things at say 21 vs. 31. Don't get me wrong, younger chicks are fun, but those relationships tend to fizzle out rather quickly. Then again you only live once (that I know of). If you think about it, it's kind of stupid to set limits on who you end up with based on the arbitrary rotation of the Earth. Anyway, Life's too short for rules.... unless of course she's under 17, that'll get you 3-7.

I dated a 12 years old when I was 17.

And it seemed like I was the 12 year old and she the 17.

You guys are right, it all depends on the maturity.

As long as both 'mature/legal age' parties know what they are getting into, more power to them.

I have no idea what he was trying to say above but this is what kept playing in my mind.

You guys dont think her parents might flip out? She has already dropped a hint that her dad may not be to happy bout it. Dont wanna see my boy on the 6 0'. We were talkin and dont understand the rush for her to intro her parents. Dont know if they plan a family outting or something.

Rui Z 06-08-2011 08:44 PM

Not enough of an age gap. He should go for an 18 year old.

fullmonty 06-08-2011 09:14 PM

Age is only a number anyway. I don't see an issue with it.

tmjohansen 06-08-2011 11:06 PM

Depends on her body ;)
