Default Supercharge/Nos/Bolt-ons

Ok, guys I am kind of in a bind. I am getting a fast intentions exhaust from a buddy and my original plan was to just do bolt ons. I am thinking of either forced induction if it is not too much more money or just doing bolt ons and spraying Nitrous.

Intake Plenum: 400$
Headers with install: 700$
Exhaust: 1k
Tune: 700$
HFC's already installed: 450$

So i am at 3,250$ with just bolt ons if i go this route. I am looking into the stillen supercharger i believe 6k turn key or just spraying 100 shot of Nitrous. I want to do whichever is safer for the motor, but still have the horsepower. Also which would be a more reliable for a DD when i have to start DDing this car. Any input? If i did go forced induction, would this exhaust restrict the power too much?

Sir, headers alone cost as much as the price you listed. The install is another $800. You're looking at $1600 minimum for good headers and install. Everything else looks reasonable

For supercharching, any exhaust will be fine. Turbos, that's a different matter. IDB ts y pipe desgn, make sure its 3" at the collector.

Safe, any system done correctly will be safe. However the more things you add the more things that can break down. NA doesn't really add components so that will have the lowest risk of breaking down. TT has the most added with SC not far behind so has the higher chance, still low if done right, to break down.

Really it all depends on what you want/need out of the car and what you can afford. Do you need 500+whp to get to work and back? Do you plan on doing drag racing, autox, or track days often enough to justify the cost? Will you be doing all the installations yourself or would you take it to a shop, this will have a big impact on costs.

The question is to you have an extra 10k on top of the FI cost, For when the motor lets go? Not saying it's 100% it going to pop but something you have to consider. If not just go fully bolted.

^^^ I agree.
I was really looking hard into buying a boosted performance kit,but decided to go with going full bolt on. It's my daily driver and although financially I'm pretty good,I don't have unlimited amounts of money to pour into the car should something go south. + it's my only wheels so I'd be basically stranded! Having said that,do what makes you happy. If boosting will scratch that itch you got,go for it!

This advice applies for NO2 as well.

I was fully 'bolted' and then went 'boosted'. There is no comparison

Why not, get a damn Miata for 1000 bucks as a DD, and boost the Z, its more then likely that nothing will happen to the car unless you have a **** TUNER.
