Would like some advice...
Hi Guys,
I bought last year the Stillen supercharger and the valvebody upgrade for my 7AT. I paid at least 15,000 dollars for the two. After waiting two months to get them and the time to install came around I got cold feet. I don't have time anymore to fiddle with the car, nor can I afford to fix any damage done by an unreliable set-up. Taxes here are skyhigh. There are no tracks here and I just want some more power for the occasional car gathering. The thing that worries me most is the AT tranny; hence, I bought the valvebody upgrade from GTM. Yesterday, a buddy of mine who installed the GTM s/c a year ago says GTM is gone:confused:? Now I don't know what to think of the valvebody upgrade? Good? Bad? Thanks |
Have you thought about selling your kits and going nitrious? There are a lot of good and safe setups now and no major modifications needed and you will have the power when you want and able to turn it off when you don't. I'm sure you can get a bunch of info here from the boys who spray here.

I wouldn't install the vb upgrade the Stillen doesn't make enough power to need it . Just get a trans cooler an the tranny and have the line pressure upped with you UPREV tune and you should be fine .
|
But I have it...
Why shouldn't I install it? I bought it already.

For one GTM is gone, and if it defect and does anything else you out of luck, I have also heard a few guys with issues tunning with the VB upgrade.

The tune for the tranny is simple. GTM provided the logs in the manual. It's not just cut and paste?

Up to you then I'm just repeating what I've read and heard right from UPREV .:/

Here's what you asked, " Now I don't know what to think of the valve body upgrade? Good? Bad? Thanks"
If you didn't want to hear anything negative you shouldn't have asked. It sound's like you have your mind set on what your going to do anyway. Your reply's read like your looking for conformation on your decision. JMO:tiphat: |
Install the valve body and be done with it. If GTM's 7AT vb is as good as the Transgo vb for 5AT's, it will help you shift much quicker.
