I envy the do it yourself guys that tackle projects like this! Anything more than working on headlights or exhaust and I'm into unfamiliar territory haha! What are you hoping

What are you hoping to throw down for numbers and are you sticking her on a dyno?

Thanks, I'm enjoying this Supercharger project alot.

I spent 4 years on my 280z Spyder project. That happened over 10 years ago. 510.jpgI cleaned or replaced EVERY part on that car...

Not so motivated to clean everything so meticulously on this project tho... Just making sure the mechanicals that I'm installing are absolutely correct.
Hoping to see about 400~425 rwhp...???
I have a tuner lined up who has a dyno.
Will post results when that happens. I still need to have someone install my Stage 3 clutch and FI exhaust before I do the tune. Not too long before I'm ready to do the tune though.. Getting close.

Ran into my first major issue. The intercooler bolt holes do not fit the bolt up tabs of my frame. About 2" too short. I made a couple brackets to bolt it up , but I now worry about how the plumbing will line up. Mainly the intakes to the throttle bodies. If this works out I'll try to make a more substantial bracket to eliminate side to side movement.

Major pain in the a$$ installing the cold air intakes to the intercooler. The intakes were not even close to fitting. I had to use longer silicone connectors and 45* connectors. Even using those the fittment was very difficult. My Z is a Roadster and apparently the frontal frame is different from the Coupe??? Next is the oil cooler install using custom braided lines and that should complete the install.
Sam from GTM called me the other day and sent the ECU flash codes. Getting close now!!!

you shouldn't have lowered the intercooler. That's why the outlet pipes fit like poop. can you remove the brackets you made and make something to make up the gap on the bottom? you'll likely have a better fitment that way.

The intercooler rests on tabs that are premolded on the bottom side. Raising everything up would have caused a more diffiult problem with the lower plumbing geometry. Plus it would have been less stable.

Thanks for the compliments! Doing the SC install.... easy...
Getting my pics to upload right side up... way beyond my capabilities!!
The MAF sensors are located just under the equator of the CAI tubes.

Started the car up!!!!! Everything looked good, had a leaky SC hose at the reservoir. Other than that no other leaks. This baby sucks in some air... Really whistles.. Idles good ,though it had a hiccup ...
Can't drive yet.. 9" snow out there... Then an appointment with the tune guys.
Gonna be a bad a$$ Roadster!!
