Sasha, any way you could pm me details about your new 3" charge pipes?
I'm very interested in upgrading to those. Thank you. |

Has anyone installed this kit with Z1 Motorsports CSC Eliminator Kit?
I'd rather run it than a HD CSC http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps88f84a1a.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q...ps7de845e6.jpg http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...psba6dca2b.jpg It doesn't look like it will work but it's hard to tell how much clearance there is between the drivers wastegate to the transmission. |
Having been under my setup numerous times. I seriously doubt that is going to fit.
|
You do also have the V1 kit. I'm not sure where sasha placed the 02 sensors but aside from maybe having to relocate the wastegate it seems like it would work.
Converting the CSC to a traditional style just makes sense though keeping dirt and heat away from the fluid portion of the system. I haven't read anything about MC failures after converting too. |
I have been pondering why is everything stacked up on the right driver of the car? I'm thinking the car may be a little more balanced if a few things were mounted on the passenger side. Is it space reason? Is it simpler and more assessable to mount everything on the diver side? I'm curious.

That would not work with the kit. |
So has anybody installed this kit or the upgraded to 1.5 yet?

Anyone have a good estimate on how many ponies the standard fuel pump/set up that come with this kit can handle up to?

More than the stock block will handle. I can check with Johnny next weekend and see how much head room is left on the injectors at my power level but I'm pretty sure you'll be MAF limited before you are fuel limited. |
Kool, I'm thinking of 470 dd and 520 drag tune. I just wanted to madge sure I have the fuel pump to handle it.

There are several guys running 520ish on this setup. You'll be fine |
The fuel pump and injectors that come with this kit should be good for 600whp+.

Ty much guys and gals.
Onward with the shopping Yzgyz |
Taking a guess that I can't use my tomei single even if I fabricated a extra pipe to meet the flange on the tomei? I love the exhaust so much but I'm not sure if it can keep up with a 600whp tune

Is it 3" all the way? |

It'll be a major restriction. A single 3 flows less than a dual 2.5. It's not the best choice for NA. For a boosted application you'll be better off selling it and buying an appropriate exhaust for an engine that moves as much air as the VQ. |

A 3" exhaust will flow 600whp. |

I forget where the flange is but I think it's at the end of the Y pipe

Unless that y-pipe transition is in the same exact place as the oem one you are going to need some custom fab to get it to mate up. Looks like you'll be ok if Sasha says the 3" can handle 600whp |
I don't mind doing a custom fab, that's not my main concern. I just LOVE the exhaust and would like to keep it if possible. I don't believe the y pipe is in the same area as the stock one but a little mandrel bent ss 3 inch pipe can handle that.
Sasha what is the most power that a 3 inch can flow? Thanks again guys |
With that exhaust, it looks like the OEM style down pipe would bolt right up without having to modify anything. As for maximum power, I'd say you should be able to get to 650whp. I know the supra guys have made over 800whp on a single free flowing 3" exhaust. In this case though, bigger is always better. If you plan on doing this on a stock block, there is nothing to worry about.
|
It would be a stock block and in the meanwhile a built motor will be in the works and of course a new exhaust would come into play. Maybe the FI dual 3 inch. Thanks Sasha. Just about ready to send my deposit :)
|
The exhaust will probably be too long for a non-nismo 370z. The easiest way to make it fit properly would be to modify the BP downpipe to fit the Tomei exhaust since it would be much easier to weld steel than titanium lol. I have a single AAM 350z exhaust (The Tomei is also for a 350z) and I had to fab up a shorter pipe to bolt to the BP downpipe. This is the power my car made with the BP kit and the single AAM exhaust at ~11psi. Not to mention the car sounds amazing with a single turbo and single exhaust.
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...92F9C94658.jpg And here is a video of what it sounds like inside the car. This was before my retune. Excuse the mis-shift lol. |
GRR!!!! That video make me mad!!!! COME ON HOME KIT. PAPA has a nice new home for your!!!

The materials and cut and weld what needs to be done. This exhaust will just stay on till the motor gets built and I'll switch it out for a dual 3 inch that can flow enough for high boost and some nitrous ;) |
