check voltage at the plug going into the FP. see if the pink wire you spliced the harness into is getting battery voltage when you switch to the on position. if not could be the relay. if it is check the your pump assembly wires.

09'370z 04-03-2015 12:23 AM

Thank you! Will check on that!

Dumb question but did you check the fuse in the relay?

Also could it be possible hooked the relay up backwards (I.e. Connected it to the wrong ends of the pink harness wire)?

GaleForce 04-03-2015 08:05 AM

It's rare for a relay to fail. Like others have said, double check your wiring and fuse.

TopgunZ 04-03-2015 09:55 AM

I had an incident where I drove to work then at lunch car wouldn't start. I couldn't hear the pump prime so I jumped it from battery to relay so basically a hot wire. I heard it kick in then it primed up after that just fine. No problems ever since.

Can a relay get "stuck" open?

As an aside...That built block up and running yet?

TopgunZ 04-03-2015 11:11 AM

All day! I have 1500 miles on it. Just put the fuel system in and am dropping the 3" intake pipes on this weekend. Tune scheduled for next week.

I assume you have another car to drive around? Why wouldn't you just swap the intake tubes in the tuners parking lot. It's a 10 mins swap.

Oh and can't wait to see the numbers. Think you are the first BP built block VQ37HR

TopgunZ 04-03-2015 11:42 AM

I have a Ridgeline also. Kind of have to being here in Denver. The Z doesn't like snow very much.

The dyno is 5 minutes away from my house so I can just limp it there.

It'll idle like **** but as long as you stay in closed loop it'll be fine

jwick 04-03-2015 01:30 PM

Where are the rest of this round of kits? I thought Sasha built 9-10 of them this round but I've only heard updates on about five of them.

whiteZ34 04-03-2015 04:22 PM

They're hidding from you jwick. They know your looking for them so they're in hidding and are going to jump out and get you when you least expect it:stirthepot::rofl2:

YzGyz 04-03-2015 05:04 PM

I'm with Jwick, where are the other guys from this BP round at? I was hoping to saturate the members area with BP builds. I was also hoping to steal ideas to add to my build too but guess not.

Don't worry bud. There's still plenty you can steal from my build ;)

SlowZ 04-03-2015 08:53 PM

Mine should be all done mid May, hopefully. I still have parts to buy and then I have to install the clutch and break it in before I can even think about installing any part of the kit

Ha! mayhaps. I don't make the big bucks like you so I don't konw if I can keep up though. I really don't have or want to do much else to my car. I think the only thing that is really on my list after the turbo (and electronics install with your help) is to custom build a pod area for the electronics.

It's not that bad of an install. My hold up is the transmission. GRR!!! You will learn a lot about your car doing the install.

I'm doing the install myself. I just have to wait till after I install, and break in the clutch before I can really get to it. I'm in no rush. It will get done eventually

Mine is in progress. Going to do a full write up at the end. A few modifications to the kit have delayed my progress. No fault of the kit at all just a couple minor things I wanted to do on my particular build.

Good luck to all those installing!

whiteZ34 04-05-2015 09:16 PM

Speaking of the other kits. I haven't heard anything lately on Mr. Squeeze. Thought he was getting one of the kits in this batch with the 6766 ?

jwick 04-05-2015 09:42 PM

I can't wait to see what power a built motor and that 6766 makes

There is a V2.0 kit on a built motor with the 6766 upgraded turbo almost complete. It ain't Mr.S though. I'll leave the identity reveal to the owner if he wants it public.

Nope. He's still running 6266

TopgunZ 04-06-2015 11:47 AM

Lol. Yeah im on the 62. When I had it hit 19 lbs on the dyno by accident and seen the 650tq I figured Ill take the spool over needing more power. My clutch couldn't hold any more anyways.

whiteZ34 04-06-2015 11:54 AM

Grrrr!!! You two gotta play with my head! :bowrofl: you did build your engine tho right? and how many pounds of boost are you going to run and what kind of numbers you looking for?

TopgunZ 04-06-2015 12:20 PM

Yes I did build it. I have been rolling on my old tune at 10lbs. I upgraded a few things and am going to dyno "HOPEFULLY" this week. That's up to my tuner and his time frame though, which could be ugly. :icon14:

I plan on going as far as I can without maxing out my MAFs. Which I think will be around 15lbs.

At stock compression I'm guessing around 600whp @ 15psi. What that number will be considering you are at high altitude is anybody's guess.

elperuano 04-06-2015 12:53 PM

I'm the built motor with the 67 upgrade. Ordering uprev maf sensors to make sure no issues come up later. Soon as that is in, should be almost ready for fire up and break in. Hopefully next week.

I have a g37 and this has been very difficult for me. But it's slowly getting there.

Boosted Performance 04-06-2015 02:54 PM

I have just placed an order for the all new 6870 T4 1.32 a/r turbo. These come only in BB, so the price is up there at $2,300:

http://www.precisionturbo.net/Street...-CEA%C2%AE/578

There is a local customer that has purchased the V 2.0 kit, so I will be testing this new turbo for fitment. I am confident that it will bolt up to the V 2.0 manifold, and will update once I have played around with it a bit.

Should open up the big HP doors if it does indeed fit as I suspect.

I believe that this will be the absolute perfect match for the VHR cars because of the 70mm turbine wheel, allowing the system to move air a lot more efficiently, especially for those looking at E85 tunes.

Spec Jay 04-06-2015 03:06 PM

My build is still basically at a standstill. Been working a lot and ironing out some kinks. Plus I need to put my clutch in.

YzGyz 04-06-2015 05:17 PM

Lol!! Now to sound or be an *** but, I'm glad im not the only one dragging with the v2.0 build.

So very cool to see/find out who else is on the BP build. Hi BP extended family!

Forum member jwick installed a Boosted Performance turbo kit on his G37. You may want to contact him for pointers.

SlowZ 04-06-2015 11:33 PM

I bet I'll be the very last person to complete my build out of everyone that had their kits just shipped to them lol

Just be thankful you don't have to mess with the V1.0 IC piping and turbo mounting. Bet I spent 4-5 hours getting the turbo clocked/mounted/ and couplers fastened

Lol damn. Yeah I wasn't looking forward to clocking the turbo but it seems a hell of a lot easier than the v1 kits

Clock it in place, it's much easier:tup:

I think I got lucky the first time. Went in like a glove.
