Oh and here's to a speedy recovery

If Sasha can't get you one in time, I bought mine from Summit Racing

Oh and here's to a speedy recovery

I have about 6 in stock...will make the change on the work order when I send it to you.

jaytirbhaw 02-08-2015 10:17 AM

Are all the 1.5 kits gone as well?

No, still have some of those but won't be taking orders on those for another three weeks. Just don't want to start mixing up things. Once the current orders are out the door, then I will be looking at the V 1.5's and some 350z kits.

02-08-2015 12:39 PM

Can i put a deposit Down for a 1.5 kit so i dont lose my chance to snag one of these kits?

brancky3 02-08-2015 03:14 PM

Curious, is there a price difference for the 1.5 kit?

mag_black 02-09-2015 03:05 AM

^^1.5 is $100 cheaper.

Spec Jay 02-10-2015 03:55 AM

I'm guessing we're going to be receiving everything that was supposed to come after the deposit(pan spacer, oil cooler, etc.) will be coming with the rest of the kit?

That is correct. I know that initially I mentioned that the items you mentioned were going to ship out after the deposits were in, but it would have been a bit of a logistical mess...trying to keep track of everything. I hope that this isn't an inconvenience.

Wow...that was hard to read. Me thinks you used to many me thinks:rofl2:

On a more serious note I can't wait to see all the updated builds come out for this round of kits.

Boosted Performance 02-12-2015 06:52 PM

Everybody was sent the final work order with details as well as balances.

It is time to ship!

does the oil filter sandwich have extra ports for oil temp and pressure gauges?

For oil pressure I added a tee to the turbo oil line take off for the sender. I think there's a pic in my build thread. I'm still trying to find a good solution for oil temp. If you are comfortable tapping aluminum then I'd suggest tapping the oil pan spacer before you install that.

Spec Jay 02-15-2015 01:43 AM

think I found a solution.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rus-670063/overview/

Replace outlet fitting on the oil sandwich, install with a tee to have 2 ports available.

You could replace both fittings but im not sure if the return side from the cooler will have enough pressure to be accurate still. That and the v2's have Thermostatic plates.

Theres also oil drain plugs with 1/8npt for temp gauges.

but yeah tapping the pan spacer for the temp and run your setup for pressure seems like the most accurate way.

Boosted Performance 02-15-2015 01:51 AM

The new oil cooling system does not have a 3/8" NPT thread on the Mocal sandwich plate. It is metric with an O-ring. Best bet is to add another T fitting on the turbo oil supply line, right at the OEM OPS.

Problem with that fitting, in addition to what Sasha mentioned, is most oil temp probes are to long to screw into it.

Yeah I just looked at my temp probe. =/ Attachment 100467

Ideally, you would want something like this in the oil pan spacer:

http://meas-spec.com/uploadedImages/...sion_probe.jpg

It will measure actual oil temperature in the oil pan, which is where the oil pump pulls it out of.

Where'd you find that length of probe?

Also would I be wrong in assuming that you could just splice that probe on to any gauge harness to replace what came with the gauge?

Stainless Steel Immersion Probe

Spec Jay 02-15-2015 11:42 AM

I would think as long as the resistance of the probe is the same you could.

About 1,100 feet of bubble wrap later...and everything is done. 4 kit have been shipped out on Friday, and the rest will be going out next week. I should have everything on the way to you guys by Wednesday.

It was a lot of work...it felt like a lot more than I had anticipated, but then again, that is a lot of product to be shipped out. In the future, I will more than likely stick to batches of 6 kits at a time. It is much more manageable, especially with somewhat limited space I have to work with.

Thank you all for your orders, it is very much appreciated. I am looking forward to seeing all the builds in the next couple of months.

Cheers!

think we can get the base maps emailed over? going to be visiting my tuner this week and I'd like to have him load the map up before I start tearing into the car.

The car isn't going to run very well, if at all, if you are still NA on the base map.

Is Sasha sending you the UpRev cable and license? Or do you already have an UpRev license thru your tuner and no cable?

Spec Jay 02-24-2015 07:50 PM

I have a licence from my tuner but no cable. I was just going to have him replace one of my 5 maps so I can install at home then drive to him for a full tune.

You'll want to pick up a cable so you can monitor parameters and check/clear codes but you can probably do what you are referring to. However Sasha is going to need the ECU number before he can send you a base map. If you don't know it you'll need your tuner to provide it.

Correct. I need the ECU number in order to send a base map.

Spec Jay 02-24-2015 10:07 PM

Working on getting it. Hopefully have it by tomorrow.
