CJM 370z had boost envy, problem solved...
Just over 3 years and ~40,000 miles ago, I did my turbo install and tune. I made something like 524rwhp at 8psi. Plenty for the time being.
August 2013 I gave it another psi of boost and some more timing, and it made 586rwhp at 9.1 psi. It really was plenty for this car. I daily drive this car. Admittedly... not as much this year because I bought a motorcycle a couple months ago and have been really enjoying it. However, the 370z is still my ONLY CAR so ya it gets driven regularly. Well anyway... I kept seeing all you guys around here putting like 12 - 14 psi into your cars now. It really got me thinking - "what would my old lady do with 12 psi of boost?" So tonight I went to find out. 671 RWHP 520 TQ 12.1 PSI BOOST - E85 100% Stock Engine - untouched Greddy Twin 20G Turbo Kit w/ CJM modified wastegate setup CJM S2SE Fuel System w/ Walbro 400 pump & ID1000cc Injectors Greddy Dual 2.75" Exhaust OS Giken Twin Clutch w/ RJM Pedal and Z Spd CSC UpRev tuned by me - the only UpRev and the only E85 car I have ever tuned... so theres room for improvement! HKS EVC6 Boost Controller OEM GT-R Spark Plugs I think that is everything I have done that is related to HP.

I almost stopped a little sooner. When I got up to 11.7psi it made 651rwhp and I said thats good enough. But then I could of swore I recalled someone already doing 650? Or am I wrong?
So I thought it made sense to take another step. In this graph picture you can see that it looks like my throttles are perhaps starting to shut early. I havent touched the throttle maps yet. Maybe I will mess with that and see if I can get the power to keep hanging on to redline.

I'm telling you my friend.....these engines are oodles more stout than anyone thinks, just gotta do it right! Your fuel system has not let me down yet and is a common link between our monsters... Coincidence? I think not!
The Greddy kit has always been top notch, with good fuel and someone smart behind the tune, this is not going to be a rarity! With those slicks, it's gonna be hard to beat on the strip. First to 700hp(stock block!) gets a medal! Grats my friend! I am just glad to see you are still in love with the 370!(and not driving a GTR like you were considering!) I cannot wait to hear your drag strip experience! |

Ya I have some people pushing me to go for 700rwhp. I might... but first I would like to get a couple passes out of it yet. Maybe in the next couple weeks I will strap it back down.
BTW my 28" tires are still drag radials! They just look like slicks because I got 28" tall and 15" wheels lol. They wont hook like a slick but I am on stock axles and "only" 670rwhp, so it should be plenty of tire for me! |

Join us! Make those 20g's sing, man! They may not come on as hard and make the big torque #'s... but they come on smooth, which you can argue helps traction... and they unleash their fury on the top end. I bet you can hit 725rwhp by 1 bar boost!

1 bar is actually the boost pressure goal that I would like to settle on once I have the fuel system and manifold/plenum installed. I would love to run 700 RWHP, but I know that I need motor build and a few drivetrain adjustments to support my driving habits so that I can keep from breaking things, lol.
I am serious about ordering a box of goodies from you Feb/Mar 2015 at the latest. I am holding out for the CJM intake plenum though!

But let's not talk about rods... If I just ignore the concern, everything should be ok!

Phunk, going through today and updating the finished builds thread with new numbers for people and a few new additions.
You have taken the crown for top stock internal engine. DJtood is pushing 658 right now (13.4PSI), and over 5 known builds that are above 600whp with stock internals.
