I might post some pics tonight or maybe later in the week of some of the new parts for my 370z. Got some neat stuff, but still more on the way.... and TONS that needs to be built and fabricated now.

Finishing the new intake manifold is the first project though, then second up will be the new exhaust manifolds

Well I ordered some Carillo rods yesterday to join my CP 10:1 I have sitting around, and I located a HR engine (good bye VVEL) in florida that meets my specs for a good price... so far it looks like I will be turning it up a notch with the Z. We will still see though. I figured I should have the parts ready to go, I can still sell them for my cost or higher (surely having things ready to ship is worth a few bucks versus having to wait 4+ weeks for 10:1 CPs) if I bail out.

Still have to figure out a clutch though. I tried to contact RPS about their carbon race clutches but they havent responded. I have to find someone to work with that can build a VQ clutch that can handle some serious power.

I also have to talk to Haltech about what they can do for the 370z... with VVEL gone I can run any standalone, but I would prefer something that works with the CAN.

OH, and I am pulling my Greddy kit over the next couple weeks.. it is for sale! If I keep the car its getting much larger turbos, if I dont keep it, I obviously have no use for the Greddy kit anymore! I am working on getting a fresh set of manifolds for the Greddy kit right now since I am sure by now one of the manifolds is cracked.

Charles, I have used a Sachs twin plate solid clutch for 15 years in my 540hp (atfw) alloy V8 race engine with zero problems, and have also used a Tilton in the past with good results.

Haltech have announced their Elite series ECU which might be worth considering given it is CAN capable. Motec is top-shelf but expensive - I was on the cusp of giving the Motec research centre my car here in Melbourne back in May, but had to spend a few weeks in hospital for some remedial surgery and I've just not managed to get back to it.

I tried calling Haltech and they didnt seem like they thought it really made any sense to use their system in my car. They said maybe in a year or longer when/if they release a 370z specific system. Otherwise, the guy gave off the impression that I would pretty much be on my own. Also, they only have a single throttlebody driver. That would normally be OK with me and I would just build a single throttle manifold... but I need to build a VHR specific intake manifold for customers to use, so I will just use that with twin throttles.

For a clutch, whenever I finally pull my trans out, I am first going to investigate rebuilding it into an OSGiken quad disk.

You now have me beat by 4rwhp. Only if I could match your 12psi on my stock block...

Amazing results! I think I contemplated getting back into a 370Z when I read your first post.

You have paxton on it I assume? You can make a ton more power with it yet!

Yeah. I know the blower will support a lot more HP, but my stock bottom end won't.

I'm gonna push my stock engine a little harder yet I think... We will see if I swap in the built motor before starting to tune these or not.

Hello...

Hello...is this thing on.....

roplusbee 10-27-2014 04:40 AM

Now that is what I am talking about. 25G12cm2 are on par with the GT3582R. If the GTX version of the 35R is anyway better that the origional, you are definitely going to need some supporting parts.................

TopgunZ 10-27-2014 10:40 AM

Holy balls! These things are going to scream! Are you going for highest hp z ever?!

If it were me. I'd drop in the built motor before attempting anything with these. I mean, your going to have to have the motor pulled anyways. Save the headaches of doing it twice.

Plus like I've said before. If your motor lets go it could take those fresh turbines out along with it.
