I definitely have turbo envy. Not for long though. Getting my 7at tranny built at level 10 in new Jersey on October 13th then it's play time

If my engine holds up for the next week or two, and nobody else does it first... ill go back and give it a shot. After this weekend I will barely be driving my car as I need to use it to finish the intake manifold project and eventually pull the motor out to start building it.

Curious to see your motor pulled and see how the internals have stacked up over the years. Any major or potential problems that could happen or showing signs up weakness.

Very Nice Charles,

Makes me want to get my hand on some E85 but its just such a hassle up here. Id be curious to see what your trap speeds are at now!

Congrats, its fun to push it further than you sometimes want to!

Also can I ask what your WOT timing values are (in uprevs tables) I believe I am in the mid 40s currently with my fuel, any more and im dealing with knock.

Knowing what power is available at 12#s I may try turning down the boost in favor for more timing and see how the fuel responds.

Hopefully the 28s dont slow me down too much. I mean... they will hook and launch well, but I have a slight concern that they are a tad tall for my horsepower. But I just didnt want to mess around, i wanted to know that what I was putting on would hook. Maybe they will work out perfect.

I expect to find wear in the cylinder heads. My heads are pretty noisy. Bottom end I bet looks like new (until that moment that it doesnt anymore)!

When I tune the timing, I actually dont even pay attention to the numbers in the map. I turn on map tracing and do the pull. Then I go back into the logging screen to tell it stop recording (immediately after the pass) so that the map trace line holds the pass in cache. I scroll through the log and look at the timing figures in degrees, and where I dont like what it was doing I look at the RPM and then go up or down in the cell the map trace line passed through at that RPM.

My timing isnt identical from pass to pass, my ecu is always trying to change itself due to tables somewhere else.. but generally I am running around 14 degrees at peak torque and 20-22 degrees by redline.

One of my passes at a little less boost decided to randomly touch 25 degrees by 6000rpm. That right there is why I want a standalone in this car (ditching the VHR heads)... THAT type of crap is exactly how people on pump gas lose motors.

I guess its much different on the rollers. I have the Mrs drive my car while I watch in real time and then edit the values I don't like as we go. Makes it much easier with 2 people handling the setup. I can see why Greg and Seb do it that way.

Ill have to take a look at one of my logs to see what I am at. I am just curious as to how much extra you are able to get away with with the E85. Its good to know that as long as us gas guys stay out of the knock our bottom ends should be more than fine considering most of us are in the 500s.

I love threads like this!

Great job buddy! FINALLY, someone broke it! It took damn near 2 years. Now back that time up to solidify the record and show the time slip...for proof of course! :driving:
