I believe FI pump gas record still holds, pump gas usually means 91/93 fuel, and they cracked above 600whp where everyone else in the 600 range I believe is e85 right now.

Is e85 not "pump" gas? They sell it at gas stations.

Yes it is, but I think because it is not a "standard" across the board, plus e85 I believes is equal to 100 octane fuel it gets pushed out of the 'pump' gas classification.

Gotcha. I've always considered pump gas as a fuel that is readily available at any local gas station. Either way, both setups laid down impressive numbers and further pushed the envelope of what these engines are capable of.

Nice stuff. You still using the OEM MAFs or did you upgrade those? Besides going to a return-style fuel system...the MAFs are limiting me right now.

E85 is not considered "pump gas" in the whole "power on pump gas" debate. You could definitely argue that its available at many pumps... but its sort of an apples to oranges comparison due its ability to ward off knock/detonation.

It allows you to run a little more boost and an ideal timing curve without nearly as much concern of running into knock.

E85 itself isnt a power adder for the most part (minus some small gains from dynamic compression - taking up more space in the combustion chamber), but it definitely lets you see more of what your existing power adders can do!

Stock MAFs in 2.75" MAF tubes. I will check my voltage today but I am pretty sure they were maxed out a couple psi ago. Danger Zone! lol

E85 is not a problem for anything in the stock fuel system, or in any of the CJ Motorsports fuel system products/kits!

Thanks for the compliments! I havent tried regular pump gas yet so I will let FI hold that one for now! And they will always smash me on the torque, my turbos are a little too big and non-ball bearing to hit hard enough to go for the torque record.

It really was plenty for this car. I daily drive this car. Admittedly... not as much this year because I bought a motorcycle a couple months ago and have been really enjoying it. However, the 370z is still my ONLY CAR so ya it gets driven regularly.

Well anyway... I kept seeing all you guys around here putting like 12 - 14 psi into your cars now. It really got me thinking - "what would my old lady do with 12 psi of boost?"

So tonight I went to find out.

671 RWHP
520 TQ
12.1 PSI BOOST - E85

100% Stock Engine - untouched
Greddy Twin 20G Turbo Kit w/ CJM modified wastegate setup
CJM S2SE Fuel System w/ Walbro 400 pump & ID1000cc Injectors
Greddy Dual 2.75" Exhaust
OS Giken Twin Clutch w/ RJM Pedal and Z Spd CSC
UpRev tuned by me - the only UpRev and the only E85 car I have ever tuned... so theres room for improvement!
HKS EVC6 Boost Controller
OEM GT-R Spark Plugs

I think that is everything I have done that is related to HP.
Wow, good job CJ. You beat our previously held stock block E85 record. I guess we just need to crack 700 to take it back! Hahaha...seriously, great work man!

As for the "pump gas" banter, when I make that claim, I am considering only 91/93 in the discussion. It is correct, E85 could be considered in the discussion, but that brings the "gray" into the conversation. Most tend to forget that E85 is very scarce out here on the west coast and we are subject to the phenomenal 91 octane.

Keep up the good fight buddy!
