I posted this a week ago but didn't get much response. But this dyno was done at Stillen. Some things to consider as you can see in my post. 3rd gear pulls and no fan. My HP numbers seem on track considering, but my TQ numbers seem low. Did you ask what gear they were testing in? It's hot as balls in SoCal so that doesn't help. Did they use a fan at all? Everything adds up.
Did a baseline dyno today! |

The canned tune sucked on my car and I don't think you will get that 416whp on Cali gas. Last edited by JWillis72; 09-03-2014 at 03:31 PM. |

You WHP should be at worst 400 and QTRQ should be right around 300. 3rd gear is the wrong gear.

On Cali 91 Octane Gas 2013 G37 Coupe with STILLEN Supercharger and Exhaust. Smog legal tune on a 95 degree day. STILLEN 370Z with STILLEN Supercharger and STILLEN Exhaust (80 degrees) 91 Octane CARB Legal Tune. These are 3rd gear pulls because 4th gets going too fast.

as I am also , But the canned tune I had only made 40 more WHP than my bolted tune. I'm just curious too , why did you emphasize smog legal tune ? Just because we get a custom tune doesn't mean it's not smog legal. I got my sticker on my 412 WHP custom tune. Get work in changing the canned tunes

Also please don't get me wrong I have every performance part that stillen makes for a reason. I love my stillen set up and I'm glad to hear that the tune and the exhaust is better. Just sux that I bought probably the last kit before you changed it. I bought mine the 3rd week in April this year lol figures

I heard Stillen was working on the Supercharger system that will make more power. Is this what i've been hearing? A better tune?

To be clear, I'm not bashing on Stillen in my thread. I was just pointing out how they dynoed and the differences to what I'm used to seeing. Everyone there is really cool and helpful. I will definitely be going back to them. Customer service goes a long way for me and they were incredibly courteous.
I am baffled by the lack of a fan on the dyno though. Especially when the car shows heat soak, this would help reduce that and simulate a closer to real world experience. I'll probably bring it in to dyno my car with my new exhaust and HFC. Since info is lacking on the Ark Grip exhaust, figure it will help the community. |
