Alternatively, for those who are interested in using an aftermarket boost controller or who may already own one, the BorgWarner turbochargers do allow for the use of a boost controllers by simply bypassing the built in BCSV and configuring the boost controller as you would on any turbocharged system. Again - great question, I'll be adding this to the FAQ or future readers.

Yes we will be making upgraded components for the 7AT in the future.

I live in MD when I'm home from Korea... Unfortunately I won't be home until November 1st. This seems like the set up I've been waiting for.
Time will tell. GLWS ! |

Wow, what a good looking kit
That looks amazing! Makes me want to take my G to the strip to see the times. I'm excited to see another kit out there. I just need an upgraded fuel pump and hit the drags with some race fuel!!!

Ping me if you need a test car for that kit Having added power to my last auto and blowing through 3 transmissions till I got that sorted out has me a bit "gun shy".

well this is all speculation since i dont know if you could even marry a GM tranny and a Nissan engine.

I know of a place that can make adapter plates between any model car to gm transmissions. I've been waiting to hear of further developments for the native 7AT before I invest too much time in a conversion.
Edit I would be DD'ing and getting to the drag sometimes. Heck, I'd like to go to the track at some point. A 6L80e would be a better option. Again, I need more research. Last edited by gbrettin; 07-29-2014 at 04:42 PM. |

this should handle low boost and decent TQ numbers without blowing a tranny. *giggity* lol if you wanna go bigger number you'll most likely need a built 7AT and so far i think GTM is the only company with one if they are still in business. i'm wexcited to see what AAM comes up with for tranny upgrades! i love the 7AT as is and any improvements may bring my boost demons back out lol
