My turbo people!!!! About 370z BRAKE BOOSTING??!!!

I was able to bypass one of the wires coming off the ecu to allow the car to brake boost in my 04Z. What about the 370Z? Thoughts????

my thoughts:

the 03-04 350Z's had terrible brakes with their lol brembo's.
the 370Z's sport brakes are fine.

This is about brake boosting. Nothing to do this the actual brakes lol

SouthArk370Z 07-17-2014 11:08 AM

Pull the brake light fuse and you can throttle up with the brakes on.

Max370 07-17-2014 11:09 AM

But no brake lights?^

What does that have to do with brake boosting? lol

To the OP what was bypassed on the 350 that didnt allow you to brake boost? Did traction control kick in or something?

Max370 07-17-2014 11:12 AM

The drive by wire system in our cars will limit the throttle to 30% if the brake in applied. Why it won't build boost while the brake is pushed down.

IIRC, someone figured out how to do it without losing the brake lights and posted on this site.

Max370 07-17-2014 11:13 AM

My old Z. Built Twin turbo

I would assume you can most likely find the pin from the brake switch that goes to the ecu to give it the signal to limit throttle and either put it on a switch or bypass it.
