Nissan 370Z Forum

So just ordered my Stillen SC

Yeah was going to get them to kick the fan speed on earlier, also maybe get the G37 thermostat, which I believe opens slightly earlier. Originally Posted by theDreamer On

Besides that, on the tuning side, just check hot/cold starts, make sure the idle seems to be in check. Have them adjust the fan speeds to kick on a little sooner.

I'm experiencing the hot start issue, seems the car is a little harder to start than when cold.

The g37 thermostat is a nice (cheap) upgrade, have it myself and it comes on 10 degrees cooler which is a change (not sure if better or worse but nice). Just make sure you get the correct year, believe it is 2008 or 7.

Nice man , But be carful with that 9LB pulley and stay away form the impeller "if" you running the 9LB pulley, You need a built block before those can happen. :/

You need your tune updated or fixed, We all have had that issue, Especially if you on Stillens crap tune. Just have your tuner remap it you be all set

Been tuned 3 times x 2 different tuners. I don't know how this got missed. SMH! I'm quite disappointed with the results I have after all I have been through. I know someone somewhere will take a genuine interest in doing a great job instead of just getting my money. I just haven't found them yet.

The plate covers the lower air filter, if you don't install it the MAFs get two different readings and the car kicks into some safety mode and goes way rich. Last picture of page 27 of the instructions. The shop that installed mine left it of and caused me all kind of headaches.

You is correct.

Correct me if I'm wrong, the impeller upgrade is the better overall upgrade, because instead of using more power to drive the SC, the air just has better flow...?

I'm running the 9lb pulley with impeller upgrade. The tune is pretty conservative at low 11 AFR, the problem is when it gets really hot out you can't push the car. Either that or you need to up the octane to prevent knock during hot conditions.

I'm seeing 9.8 psi with FI test pipes and 2.5" system, might see 11psi if I put the cats back on.

You could also add meth/ water injection to help cool the AITs.
