The one thing that I can say is pretty consistent with GTM turbo kits or builds is that they either have problems and issues getting them resolved OR they end up selling before it becomes a money pit.
Plenty of GTM customers have praised the company and bashed the "competition" (with exception of the OGs) and then turned around and complained later. I just don't get it...... Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk

This is a very much needed thread in this community. Way to go OP.
An LSX swap is crazy expensive. If you have an LS1 laying around then yeah maybe. But at the end of the day you can just buy a built car that already has an LSX in it and save you money. Just to put things in perspective since I backed out of the MHI group buy. I've bought 2 vehicles one for the wife and the other broke into the low 11's, then got it to break into the 10's. Now I'm going turbo with a progressive boost program hoping to get closer to the 9's. I won't break 9's until I swap my block out for a built 383. All the while GTM sounds like they are in the same place they were last year with the group buy, customer support, products that have failed, so on and so forth.

unless you have done it yourself before, an LSX swap will either be a nightmare to DIY or very expensive shop wise, you'll get what 400rwhp out of a N/A LS1? what's the point..
I was considering doing this a while ago along with a VK56 swap, but the money and time involved just doesn't seem worth it, for the cost of a twin turbo kit/supercharger kit can't go wrong especially if you are living in the US which most of you are, if I was in the US I'd go a BP kit without hesitation. I'm just kicking myself I didn't get my stillen kit 1.5 years ago instead of waiting for the MHI turbo kit.. 2 week turn around for the kit, 1 week max to install taking plenty of time and making sure everything is fine, there is a lot more screwing around then I originally anticipated to get it installed but even still, no other choice here STILL waiting on my bank to refund me though from the MHI group buy.. getting close to that 45 day period they were talking about that it would take, hopefully soon. GL to anyone still in that thing |

I asked Sam this last week as I await my refund, he said they're still waiting on the cast parts. The parts are paid for, just still waiting. Still no expected date that he could share...

Does anyone think that maybe the company that they asked to do the cast parts took the money and ran? Why else would it take this long? I am in no way saying that just a thought.

I mentioned this thread to Sam a few days ago when I called him. He said he is aware of what everybody is saying and he acknowledged where he messed up. He also claimed that there are multiple people that he knows he will never be able to change their opinion of the company. His main focus right now is to make everything right by his customers. GTM wants to catch up on their orders and start to turn everything around. They want to go back to being a respected vendor and supplier of Z/G parts.
So he knows about the thread, he would rather spend his time catching up rather than posting and having a pissing contest with the same people over and over again. I think it's a good thing, show people they can delivery rather then telling them they can. I'm just the messenger, take his statements however you want.

Well. That sounds great and all. But if I was in his shoes I would of "delivered" something. I would of sent what I have completed on the kit to show my customers hey here's what you paid minus the cast manifolds. Followed with. "I'm sorry about the delays. As soon as they come in we'll send them to you. If you want to fabricate your own manifolds we will discount the price of the manifolds from your total."
I guess what I'm trying to say is that actions are louder than words.

I'll agree with you on that, if people want to have parts of the kit that are already completed and ready to go, they should be able to receive them if they choose. They can't really do anything with half a kit, so what's the harm in giving it to the customers, either way they have to wait for it to be completed and shipped.
