First of all not a PR mission. Secondly, the attitude is not needed. I went to check on my car out of legitimate concern for the time it was taking to complete. That and I had a plethora of parts that needed to come home like a ~$800 dry carbon intake duct... So I went to see the progress, check in the condition of my car, pick up my stuff, talk to sam one on one and it soo happened to be a prime time to ask him questions about what is really going on.

I don't know about your order or the mishap that happened there. However, if you want to confront me feel free to do it in PM. I hold myself to a high stadard and what I put out is the truth. If you don't like it so be it... Go play elsewhere. I harbor no bad feelings about what has been posted or those in this thread but... If another person decides to insinuate that I am on a PR mission or that I am lying I have no problem calling AK or Frost or even Trips on the phone and letting them deal with you.

I am a very nice person who was thinking of others when I posted... If you people do not want insight and want your little witch hunt by all means have one on your own. This forum can quickly turn into my350 they way you guys are starting to act... And everyone hates my350!

I don't think you are lying or their PR machine, I just think you are blind. After everything that has happened, you still put too much trust in the words of a real liar.

For the record, if Sam/GTM is ever willing to get me an external waste gate conversion kit by mid/end of November '14 (as part of a rebuild image thing) then I'd be willing to remove my negative posts about them. But I think 5 months of waiting for that kit to the point the reseller I went thru gave up on them after having a lot of emails of them riding their asses over 5 months doesn't bode well for that happening. But if it did, we'll it would be a start on that road. It does ultimately suck to have less shops and less options - and face it there's a lot of cars out there with GTM setups; rip and replace is not exactly something I care to consider with AAM/Greddy (if they go back to selling HR kits), etc.

After reading more of this thread, I feel like I am fortunate to have received my TT kit and supplemental parts and received it in 3 months time. The car Gods must have been looking out for me big time.

I called Sam about every week after the first month about my parts. Maybe that helped.

I've also learned that the best way to do business with GTM is to just order parts and have the install somewhere else. It seems everyone who takes their car there ends up waiting year(s).

But then I am also reading about the "group buys" that have been screwed over. Thank Goodness I didnt get screwed over to that extent.

I will say the fitment of the TT kit has left much to be desired and it seems they almost just got a kit "close" to release and then just said screw it and just released it. The fitment cost me $x,xxx alone in extra labor and $xxx in parts to fix the problems, and much of my own time fabbing and modifying the kit. I had to shave the universal steering coupler included in the kit because the turbo was grinding again the steering coupler. And there is still contact under load. I am having to install poly engine mounts to see if that fixes it. There is a rattle at low rpms because something else in the kit doesnt fit quite right. Several other parts did not fit quite right but I am willing to overlook the rest.

Not only this, but it has also creating a high idle code and problem. I was told it was a flaw in the pre-throttle piping. (I was suppose to have received a "newer" version and I think i did?) Either way it has creating an idle problem that has been partially corrected through tune, but not completely. There is also an issue with airflow low in the RPMs under load at full WOT.

The power is great. (See my sig. Stage 2 TT tuner kit) The engine bay appearance is beautiful. But all those shiny bells and whistles mean nothing if the overall driving experience is degraded and the number of issues it has has made my TT experience not as I would have wanted.

Had I do it over again, I would have waiting on Greddy's or AAM's newer kits.

Have no dog in the race, but as a GTM kit owner. I know it took 6 months for them to ship it, but I wasn't the one that had to wait. I'm happy with my little 8 psi stage 2 setup, but I will not purchase a product from them until it's ready to be shipped.

Take in mind they're plenty other options now for FI.

Gtm breaking news<<<<must read before you even think of buying!!!! - MyG37

Even more prove not to buy anything from GTM ever no matter how they try to rectify their huge mistakes well at least from me. I give my :tiphat: to Fast Intentions, Boosted Performance, Specialty Z and many other great vendors for giving us great products and treating us with respect.

KratikosG37 11-06-2014 01:05 PM

i'll drop the F word too. Forged Performance has treated me right too. (yes we all know about the ******* GTR, and 350z TT swap).

but they haven't gotten 100% better after down sizing.
