Forced Induction motors that have died
After reading all of the recent stories of motors that didn't survive going F.I. I'm curious about how often this has happened. If you have had a motor die on you I would like to know the details of what happened.
What was the WHP? What wtrq? How long did it run before it died? Was it ever 100% running right before it died? What kit? What PSI? What was the cause if you know? What year was the car? |

I would add wtrq along with whp. It's usually torque that makes an engine let go if power caused the failure.
|
"who did the install" and "who was the tuner" might be helpful as well.
|
And which gasoline was driven when she died?
|
Miles on car is important too.
|
this should be interesting lol

Repped and subbed. Excellent idea for a thread. OP please upkeep this thread, should be stickied as well.
Lets all keep bashing out of here. Straight facts are what are most useful |
May I suggest including links to the original build thread and ending results.
Great idea to consolidate all information in one place like the exhaust thread. |

I didn't intend for people to think I was talking about Fast Intentions, Trips is going to change the title to say Forced induction. I'm sorry to anyone at Fast Intentions for not thinking of that!
I will add the other questions to the list after work. |
