CJM S1 RFS: Your 600hp Fuel System
The CJM S1 fuel system for the Nissan 370z is the result of over 3 years of testing the factory VHR fuel rails at horsepower levels exceeding 600hp. Immediately after the release of the vehicle, CJ Motorsports developed the first line of 370z fuel system upgrades, including return conversions, fuel rails, fuel pump kits, and plumbing systems, giving us the edge of more experience, more mileage, and more installs with the platform than anyone in the industry.
While it may be our entry level 370z fuel system, this product is a known performer. It is a refined version of a system we tested for over 40,000 miles and 3 years on our daily driven 2009 370z (exceeding 600hp with E85 fuel), and with dozens installed in its first year of release, it has quickly become our best-selling 370z product. The S1 system is based on the stock fuel rails. The feed hose between the chassis pipe and the fuel rail inlet is upgraded to improve flow into the rails. The new feed line attaches to our billet CJM Multi-Fitting to supply the rail inlet tube. Leaving the Multi-Fitting is a fuel pressure relief hose which leads to an adjustable fuel pressure regulator mounting on the side of the battery compartment. Exiting the bottom of the regulator is a -6 return line all the way back to the tank, supplying the return fuel to the CJM Return Correction kit. This Return Correction is a vital hardware kit used to convert the fuel pump module to return fuel while maintaining proper function of the integrated venturi pumps. Installed with adequate fuel injectors and an upgraded fuel pump, this system can fuel over 600hp to the wheels on a stock 11:1 compression turbocharged VHR. This fuel system is tested and proven compatible with turbo systems from: AAM, Boosted Performance, Fast Intentions, Greddy, GTM, and VSR. ORDERING LINK: CLICK HERE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: CLICK HERE Detailed Photos and Information: Feed Line Kit: A billet aluminum quick-disconnect adapter for the stock feed pipe is employed (over less expensive plastic options) due the proximity of exhaust manifold heat. A -6AN hose leads from the QD adapter to the fuel rail inlet. Add the fire sleeve option to further protect this hose and reduce fuel temperatures. Hose shown above displays the CPE hose option. CJM Multi-Fitting: Our Multi-Fitting provides a pair of -6 ports and a 1/8 NPT port to the fuel rail inlet flange. The fuel feed travels straight through for optimal flow. The NPT port adds a convenient location for a small pressure gauge (optional), or as a location for a pressure sensor for an electronic pressure gauge that you may mount in the vehicle's cabin. Includes stainless mounting hardware and viton o-ring. Regulator & Rail Outlet Hose Kit: By regulating fuel pressure in the engine bay, after the many restrictions causing pressure drop, you are maximizing output of the fuel pump and providing its best effort to the rails and injectors. The rail outlet hose connects the output of the Multi-Fitting to the inlet side port of the pressure regulator. Choose from 3 high-quality regulators that we stock. CJM Return Correction Kit: From our Level 1 fuel pump return hardware kit, and introduced by CJM in 2009, this product converts the factory 370z fuel sending unit to return fuel. This is what makes a return fuel system for the 370z possible. This proprietary kit eliminates the factory fuel pressure regulator while retaining the important in-tank venturi pumps. Option Details: Regulator Type: Select your preference from Aeromotive and Fuelab options. Mini-Pressure Gauge: When not installing an in-cabin fuel pressure gauge, you will need this to set and monitor fuel pressure. DEI Fire Sleeve: This quality insulation for -6 hoses is recommended for turbo and high-heat applications. Fuel Pump Installation Kit: Required when installing an aftermarket fuel pump such as Walbro, Aeromotive, or AEM. Walbro 400 series pumps are not compatible with the S1 fuel system as they require you to remove the integrated filter and add an external. Many forced induction kits come with this hardware kit already. If you previously installed an upgraded fuel pump, than you will not need this option. Hose Type Option: PTFE Hoses: PTFE liner with SS over-braid and black PVC abrasion resistant coating to protect the vehicle and wiring harness from SS braid. This is some tough and durable stuff and will not permeate any fuel vapors. It is stiffer, making it a little more difficult to install. After it gets warm in use, it will begin to significantly relax to its new installed shape. CPE Hose: Soft CPE liner with light SS mesh molded-in and a soft black Nylon over-braid. Extremely light and flexible. The hose ends are aluminum swivel style providing easier installation. Overall diameter is a little larger as the liner thickness is greater. The fuel return line back to the tank is PTFE regardless of selection. It features a black PCV coating to protect your vehicle from abrasive SS braiding. Frequently Asked Questions: Q: Why convert to return fuel? A: Converting your vehicle to return-fuel provides you with a method to regulate rail pressure after the pressure-drop across the fuel lines, thus allowing your fuel pump to work harder and increase fuel velocity through your plumbing. An added benefit to a return conversion generally includes a high-performance pressure regulator which offers adjustable pressure and a constant (rail-to-manifold) pressure differential by installing a vacuum reference line. Q: Will I require a re-tune immediately after installation? A: If you set the fuel pressure to stock, and do not connect the vacuum hose to the regulator, the system will behave like a stock fuel system and the tune will be mostly unaffected. If you were previously experiencing a dangerous pressure drop at the top end of your fuel system, the improved fuel system will eliminate that pressure drop which may cause your vehicle to run rich at full throttle. If you alter the fuel pressure setting from which your tune was created with, a re-tune will be required. Q: Is this fuel system compatible with my forced induction kit? A: All known turbo systems are compatible. Unlike some of our more extreme fuel system options for the 370z, the S1 system follows the factory fuel plumbing route so that it can be compatible with most forced induction kits. This system may not fit the Stillen SC kit, please see our S1-S system for this application. Q: Will this fuel system work with my tune provided by my forced induction kit manufacturer? A: It absolutely can. Your tune is dependent on a specific fuel pressure curve in the rails, but not a specific fuel system. The S1 fuel system is able to operate under both the factory (static) fuel pressure curve, or a 1:1 ratio curve that any return fuel system based tune is for. If you are unsure, contact us and we will instruct you on how to set your regulator to match your forced induction tune. Q: What is required to convert to E85? A: The S1 fuel system is 100% compatible with E85. Increased fuel demands of E85 may require larger fuel injectors and a larger fuel pump to successfully tune after converting. Installed:

100% Compatible! They would be a great combination.
The RRP was designed after the original S0 fuel system.. so we were able to make sure that the RRP would not interfere with the components of the Return Correction Kit inside the fuel pump module. |

Yes our S0 and S1 systems are returning from the fuel rail inlet tube at the front side of the passenger valvecover, just before the fuel rails. Our original S0 system used to return from the damper ports on the rails... but it was just too tight of a fit and people didn't like installing it, so a year or two ago we switched it to this location.

Just added a new hose type option for the 2 engine bay hoses. I have worked out pricing for them in PTFE like the long return line. Its actually slightly better stuff even though it is less expensive. It is just a little tougher to work with and requires a more serious crimping machine. PTFE Hoses: PTFE liner with SS over-braid, and PVC protective coating to reduce/eliminate abrasion wear from the SS braid. This stuff is suitable for airplanes, battle tanks, aircraft carriers, dump trucks, or fuel systems. It is some seriously tough and durable stuff and will not permeate any fuel vapors. Downsides: Stiffer, not quite as pretty, no swivel ends. CPE Hoses: Softer CPE liner with light SS mesh molded in, and soft black Nylon over-braid. Extremely light and flexible. The hose ends are swivel style so installation is a little easier. Overall diameter is a little larger as the liner thickness is greater. Downsides: A little more expensive, mostly due to the pretty swivel hose ends. Both hose types are shown in the complete kit photo. The longer return line (shinier PVC coating) is the PTFE hose type. The 2 engine bay hoses in the photos are CPE type. Thanks!

So if we already have the RRP, we could buy this kit and it would work together. Now what would be the process in adding another/bigger fuel pump to support more hp for turbocharged vehicles?

Phunk - what measurements would you need from me to make this work on a G? I assume the return lines would need 'x' number of inches added but the rest should be the same.

Depending on your timeline, we could work it out sooner if you wanted to proceed. The G37 fuel tank isnt as tall and that will free up an extra inch or two. Our return line has a little slack on it already... there is a chance it would already work. But if you had a few days of available downtime, I could send you the kit and then if you need a longer hose, I could have a new hose or an extension shipped to you same day. |

For sure. BTW if you get this system, you dont need the fuel pressure gauge kit! LOL. (The S1 fitting has a FP gauge port included).
off topic: the (first) Greddy sensor you ordered has made it to my distributor. I will have it early next week.
