That's correct, they are in the front bumper before the supercharger.

I have an sensor added after the MAF sensor and just before the intercooler. I see temperature of around 140 F when it's warmed up, in 75 F ambient weather. Unfortunately didn't install a sensor after the intercooler just before it enters the engine. Aghhhh

That will be the next step depending on how much it would cost now to add a sensor after everything has been installed. The gauge and sensor install alone was $1K.

I remember when I went to the track pre heat exchanger ( Was only 8 cars there with me) after my first two runs the car ran SLOW, I was so heat soaked I could actually feel the car lose power on the runs after, I would have to let it sit with the hood open for a good 10-15 mins after each run to cool off. The stock exchanger and location is not smart :/
That's good to know. On the 07-08 G sedan HR motor my A2W intercooler is different from the VHR ones...instead of a small square heat exchanger I actually have a long FMIC similar to the one being discussed. The only difference I see is that that IC is thicker (3" vs 1"+) and that the inlet/outlet are on the same side (Stillen inlet/outlet are on different ends). Not sure at this point if it's a worthwhile upgrade for me or if there's even an apples to apples comparison here.

below dyno results pre frozen boost heat exchanger and after. The tuner said previously he had to let it cool down before another dyno run, with the larger heat exchanger he could do run after run.

A lot of tuning passes are done in 4th to reduce load and keep the car from hitting the limiter, the final hp numbers run should be done in 5th.

never had one done in 5th nor heard of one ? Not saying your wrong just the 6-8 dynos I've done have all been in 4th. isn't there some with the speed limiter on the dyno's 5th gear would be pushing 150 MPH? My 4th is 125+
