You did start us on the frozen boost heat exchanger, I'm also going for the braided hoses , thanks |

Getting the frozen boost heat exchanger and heat shielded water hoses to and from the Intercooler fitted over the next couple of days. Also putting a temp gauge in the heat exchanger to monitor the outlet temps. Should probably put a temp gauge after the Intercooler to get a real picture of efficiency.
It will be put on the dyno , hopefully my tuner should be able to advance the timing a bit with cooler intake. I'll ask him to give a base map before he plays around with the tune. He is still having a few issues with the 850 injectors waiting for info from uprev. Does anyone know if you can set the ECU to recognise 850 injectors, calculations are incorrect for K's I can travel with fuel in tank. I will post results in the next few days. |

Damn man wish you were in Brissy!
how's it feel compared to stock? any plans to go E85? |

awesome gives you a bigger smile E85 not presently |
4 Attachment(s)
Frozen boost heat exchanger installed + Southbend Stage 3 Daily with 19lb steel flywheel
base line with heat exchanger installed then after tune. My tuner could repeat same numbers during all 15 dyno runs without cool down . |

I don't think he has temp number pre heat exchanger but the key is when he says"My tuner could repeat same numbers during all 15 dyno runs without cool down " The Stillen one you'll get two runs the MAX before it gets heat soaked. I remember when I went to the track pre heat exchanger ( Was only 8 cars there with me) after my first two runs the car ran SLOW, I was so heat soaked I could actually feel the car lose power on the runs after, I would have to let it sit with the hood open for a good 10-15 mins after each run to cool off. The stock exchanger and location is not smart :/

Where and how are you measuring IATs? I have heard that Uprev was now able to splice a Temp Sensor into the MAF harness, then tap and install the sensor wherever you want it (Intake Manifold after the intercooler would be ideal for the Stillen S/C, so you would no longer be logging IATs in the front bumper). I would like to see if anyone has done this. |

Stillen's setup on the other hand, unless I'm mistaken, reads temperature from before the supercharger, intercooler, and meth nozzles. So the car actually has no idea what IATs are by the time the air gets to the motor. Moving the sensor into the IM would be a big step forward for the Stillen supercharger. |
