Most likely because Stillen's kit in the past has been known for low numbers and a high incidence of problems. I can promise you that the GTM kit will produce better numbers, have better fitment and less issue than any product released by Stillen.
And this is coming from experience of having a Stillen kit. |

Well im trying to time everything right... I should be ordering my roadster in about 2 months (Crosses Fingers) and we can hopefully have everything lined up by then... I already have a few things sitting in the garage waiting I want dyno vids on both kits at 100%... The vid GTM released before didnt really do it for me... It was ok but I would like it a little louder
As long as either kit can make 400WHP minimum then it will come down to functionality of the kit , cosmetics and more importantly how it sounds.... I want to be able to hear it ... im not a stealth kind of guy |

I totally agree, especially on a really cold day. The Z gets really loose when temps drop below 20 degrees. I was hot rodding my z around and I took a corner and punched it and the car kept going straight!

No offense, but i think ppl need to back off and
honestly, how many of you will actually buy the kit. some will and some will not......... of course, it would all depend on the price, but i think if your mind is set on going SC, i think you would buy it regardless - even if it requires you to stretch your bank account a little more thin..... simply, if you cant afford it, you can not even if it's relatively cheap. also, as a consumer, i would rather have the thorough R&D to be undertaken than anything less. everything takes time - so, lets just be patient and let the guys do the work........ IMHO, if TT pulls 500 RWHP for $16k with supporting mods, i think it would be ridiculous to expect SC to pull comparable numbers at half the price with all the supporting mods...... just be realistic, you don't get anything for nothing................. |

First of all you have no idea who on here is going to buy one of these supercharger kits. The fact is any of us who own a 370Z are potential buyers and companies like Stillen, GTM, AAM, ect who sell products for these cars know that. This is an excellent way for them to not only market their products but to get first hand knowledge on what WE WANT! Most of us are excited about new products that are coming out and there are lot more options now than there were last summer and well know how expensive power is so naturally we want the biggest bang for our buck. Also many of us on here that are interested in FI are still on the fence between which side we want to be on between Turbocharging or Supercharging. I mean its an endless debate that could go on forever because of the pros and cons of each system. Lastly the cost of doing a TT setup is NOT vastly more expensive than what we are estimating the cost of a supercharger are. From where my car is now I could easily obtain 500rwhp from a TT kit for 8K. For me the debate will be for 8K do I want a solid 450 to 500 rwhp gain OR for 6K can I settle for 400 to 450 rwhp? (That was a rhetorical question)
