For the amount of power/torque we are making @ 8 psi and the timing tables we're running, i would feel comfortable running more boost .

Is 8 psi gonna be what you guys are running for the CARB-legal version or is that already the race/higher boost version? Also, which trim Rotrex are you running with the G?

Hi Sam was that the SC oil cooler mounted on top of bumper crash bar?
Did you have the air filters hooked up to the intake on the SC?

Zguy 02-27-2010 11:02 AM

that sounded good.... The fluttering sounded like a bypass valve of some sort.... I dunno though....

The cooler was for the Rotrex traction fluid.

Yes we are still testing With stock exhaust and cats, we will be running more boost on the stock exhaust then we will switch the exhaust out and retest again. as for the noise it is the bypass valve flutter.

Sam

Anyway to eliminate that flutter? Not much of a fan. I had the same noise on my SC mustang whenever i let off the throttle. Or is the flutter intrinsic to centri SC's with a recirc set up

Cant wait for all of the info!!!!

The peak numbers look good. I wonder what the hp and torque curves look like, especially in the midrange rpms?

Our goal is to reached the 500 BHP mark which translate to 425 RWHP with our stage 1 supercharger. Currently we are testing our custom housing on the supercharger and we will continue to play with the pulleys and housings until we reach our goal which we should be there today .

As for the carb kit psi and power outcome it is premature to say right now.

Yes it is the SC oil cooler right behind the grill to maximize the air flow to it, and there is no air filter right now .

Withe the air filter in place and the bypass valve hook up in recirc set up, you wont here the flutter noise.

Sam, it sounds like you guys are playing with the compressor housing. Did I read that correctly?
