WOW!!! Looks like that intake pipe was not easy to make at all. Would of hate to be the one to fab that thing to spec.***Lots of Work
So what are we shooting for friday?? More pics and numbers?? Or tuning??
This is going to awsome to see this thing on the dyno. Something tells me we are going to see good numbers with an sc application on the new 370.

Pretty sure that is cast aluminum, probably designed in a CAD program and sent out to a die cast shop. Having said that it would have still taken a lot of measurements and skill to do right.

very impressive I can't wait to see the results. It looks pretty, but what are the numbers!

Yes the intake was very challenging to make. Even that is an understatement. Given the limited space we have between the supercharger and the motor mount, we had to completely redesign the compressor housing of the supercharger so we could have adequate space to fit the proper supercharger inlet . Our senior fabricator and designer did an outstanding job of really maximizing the limited space we had to work with. Again we designed our kit to work around the car and not the other way around .

As for Friday, we are hoping for the complete press release of the GTM 370Z supercharger kit .

i spy oil scavenge pump

Edit: also the pcv hose there looks to make this an optimal application for a catch can and dual breather filters being that that intake pipe is already complicated having to fit around the engine mount wouldn't it have been easier to run a single filter or does it split off and the MAf's are relocated to the filter pipes for a draw through setup? Also does the factory map sensor on these cars read bost or is it just a 1bar?

Is there pricing yet, Sam?

(it's a very long thread at this point and I don't want to go through every post)

Thanks, looks great! Subscribed for updates.

I don't understand why there are 2 tubes coming off the intake piping for 2 air filters when there's only 1 SC. Can someone explain why that was necessary instead of using just 1 filter at the end of the pipe?

G37Sam 01-27-2010 08:53 AM

Because your OEM ECU reads from two MAFs (two throttle boddies)

StillenZ 01-27-2010 09:19 AM

Wow, I am pumped for friday!! Thanks Sam

Oh yeah! I knew that :ugh2: Doesnt look like theres a slot for the maf though there... hmmm must be another part, or built into the coupling on the filter?

I wonder what it'll take to get 600+ out of a supercharged Z, probably something similar to Forged's stage one short block. I remember on the 350z's the drive-shafts were a weak point, how does the 370z match up?

So being that you have had to assemble and pull apart many times, I imagine it gets easier once this is up to your production specs....SAM what are you anticipating a normal installation will take you guys time wise?

It will take alot more parts and money than the cost to get a turbo system to that hp level.
